Do you mean just having one frak thread for the whole thing instead of separate ones for each episode? I personally prefer the separate episode threads.

I mean both. Have separate threads for each week’s frak, and an all encompassing thread to post our thoughts during the week outside of fraks as we go along. Ppl may miss individual fraks, but can catch up on their own.

I like reading ppl thoughts and comments, and you can miss real gems because you didn’t attend fraks for whatever reasons.

I dunno what other people think yet, but the first half of SG-1’s first season is one of the best first seasons of a sci fi series I’ve seen. Only other series that’s comparable in my mind is Farscape’s. There’s also Firefly, but…yeah…

Maybe they re-arranged the airing order to put the better episodes up front to draw interests?

Actually, I think the first few episodes (In any order) are the worst episodes in SG1. I know people who won’t watch SG1 because they couldn’t make it past those first few episodes.

I went so far as to come up with an episode-by-episode viewing guide for the first season, to skip the horrible (emancipation) and push the less-fantastic (Broca Divide, First Commandment) to after some of the really good, later season episodes (Thor’s Hammer, Torment of Tantalus, Singularity).

It hasn’t gotten them to watch the show, but hey.

The first season of SG1 is very mixed but there are behind the scenes reasons for that beginning with Showtime and Wright/Glassner not quite on the same page when it came to knowing the audience they were going for. That said once they hit the stride the first season produced some fantastic scifi television but the Emancipation, Broca and FC are tough going.
