Wow, thanks for the trip down memory lane. I must have worn down the needle on my little record player listening to that album over and over again.
If I remember correctly the openning narration added “a great adventure took place…” after ALTAIAGFFA. I listened to it some many times, now I have to say it in my head at the start of each movie…
Unfortunately the first time I saw this movie was the re-release several years before the prequels came out. I wasn’t born when it came out originally - I’m pretty sure I’d only see Return of the Jedi.
I went to the theatre with my sister to watch Star Wars: A New Hope and totally fell in love with it. Went home and rented Empire Strikes Back and I was hooked.
I love this one because it can be watched alone without continuing on to the others. I also think Han is the coolest in this one - it seems that as Luke gets more badass and less whiny - Han gets less cool and more Leia’s little puppy dog.

someone has probably already said this but - gee these people have all aged a LOT in 19 or 20 years. Obi-Wan - Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru…they seem to have aged 30 years. Odd. 
Which is particularly odd, since in the 10 or so years between I and II, no one changes at all except Anakin.
Yeah. It’s weird. There are a lot of things that don’t connect. You’d think with all that time GL had to plan the prequels out that he’d have done a better job. This is really the first time I’ve watched episode four since the prequels were finished.
