The camerawork and CGI always bugs me in this part with Watto. Ani and Padme are out of focus but Watto is pristine. Really shows the CGI work

Agreed. But then again, actual advocates of Democracy in the Republic were few and far between… and GL’s movies seem to argue (if they argue at all) for the installation of a superior class of people (in his case genetically more gifted or predisposed to the use of the Force) in power. ugh.

especially when you consider it should make no sound at all when used in the vacuum of space. (I love that about Firefly, btw–Joss refused to let Serenity whooosh like the Enterprise)
