[QUOTE=Lucky;131439]Challenge 1
To make things interesting, I thought I would issue a seven day challenge for anyone who wants to participate: seven days, seven black and white photos of normal household objects. If anyone does want to participate, just post your pics! If we can get a few people to join, I will try to make a collage of them and post it.
A picture a day for seven days or seven in seven? Or does it matter. Post all seven at once?
Not as happy with this. I’ll use my DSLR in lowlight.
Well it looks better on the web than in in PShop
Well my idea was to start anytime you like, but just try to do it for seven continuous days, with one picture a day. Thanks for joining in Bee and Casilda. I am looking forward in trying different photoshop techniques to make a collage.
Hope to see some of you post your own challenges to make things a little more interesting.
Oh and if anyone wants to join the GWC365, it is here.
Well the Beeker doing the Chief nuke stain didn’t work too well. Today we present Beeker Cartier-Bresson…
That works frighteningly well.
adding a few pics since I haven’t posted in a while. But to make up here is some Jazz!
Camera batteries finally recharged! Here’s today’s pic:
And, the black/white version…
That is brilliant.
My Pic for today…
Sorry I didn’t get a chance to get pics up yesterday… I have to admit I feel a bit out of my league (if anything my pictures are getting worse!), but hey here’s a try.

Check out the photo with this story that recently went up on Wired’s GeekDad blog: http://blog.wired.com/geekdad/2009/01/the-greatest-bo.html
Ha! That’s awesome.
To be fair, those books are only on top in my pic because I’ve acquired them since I last reorganized my bookshelves a few months ago, and I’d have to respace everything to fit them in their corresponding places.
Just fooling around–was going for a simple shot but started messing around. Not finished, but someday I’ll go back to it.
Video cap of Beeker taking a nap on the dash of my starship…
We’re just posting for the sake of posting. I don’t think a critique was in order (or asked for, or needed) unless we want to. Take shots again and again and again-digital is free!
The only thing I have noticed, and this is directed at no one in particular, is think of the framing of your shot. Move in to fill the frame or move back to include more in the frame.
I harbor no ill will to criticism of my photos. When I was first beginning, an experienced photographer was always be showing me how to improve my shot.
There is also the luck factor…
Another thing I like about using my P&S Powershot is that my students see an expensive DSLR isn’t needed to make nice images.
I know! I usually have a couple of different shots of the same thing… and with very few exceptions the best one is the first one I shot! I don’t know how that keeps happening, lol.
