I’m trying to figure out if this is at all feasable for me. I’m on vacation until the 10th, but is driving 500+ miles really a good idea?

Ugh, except I just realized, it’s mothers day. My mom would never forgive me if I ditched her to drive 500 miles for a movie.
I’d so be up for something over the summer though. I still have like 10 days vacation…

For the BSG finale night (or the dinner the day after?), Top Gun was kind enough to tweet me and asked me to call and he’d pass the phone around. Even though I didn’t get his tweet until later, was still able to call and I talked to about five GWCers, which really was awesome.
Bkitty did the same for me… and it was awesome. And if you look at the group photo, we were there

Oh know!! That’s cool. And my snowblower is in the picture too. And Blowy is very pleased about that, because Blowy wanted to go to the meet up too, but couldn’t cuz of an embarrassing “gas” issue.
Oh, so that’s why people were passing phones around at the dinner.

Goram it! Why don’t I read this board more often? This is yet another GWC event I now get to miss as I’m traveling on Friday. 
Shame. You should know that monitoring the boards for meetup info is required under your OG service agreement. 
I’ll be taking Metro North from the Brewster North Station between 12 and 1:30, and expect to arrive at Grand Central between 1:30 and 3. Anyone want to meet up before hand at the station or at Grand Central, let me know.
I’m guessing that we all can meetup at the theater lobby at 3:30, or do we want to get in earlier?
3:30 is the earliest i could get there, ill probably be coming closer to 345 - 4 actually. but everyone else should plan as they want to.

I know some of us are meeting up ahead of time - have we decided where we are meeting, or what we are doing? Who all is going to be around early?

RMHPH - we need to coordinate trains an the like. Can you send the PM back to me where I told you what trains we had to take to be there by 1ish. I kinda forgot to save a copy and I don’t feel like looking it all up again. But we do need to decide if I am picking you up at 30th Street and going to Hamilton or if we are meeting up on Septa (I am thinking the picking you up thing will work better - no scary Trenton train station and we can stay in NYC a little longer. But I need to know what station you are getting out by your house on Amtrak, too, so I can figure out the return trip too.

General consensus with those of us coming from the Northeast seems to be arriving at Grand Central Terminal about 1:00PM. Emily, Lisa Marie, the XO, and myself will probably be on the same train. Hopefully Talos and Mrs Talos will be arriving in the area about the same time. I think you have my cell#, I know Badger does, so feel free to call me at any time.
Badger and I are planning to get to Penn at 1 pm - so it will just be a short subway ride to Times Square from there.
Just wasn’t sure if we had chosen a place to meet-up.
I also told Ceet (the bunny from Queens, who I know Talos knows, and you all have seen pics of - she is the one who was with me at the other NY meet-up) she was welcome to join us either before or after the movie, but I am not sure if she has to work or not. Her and her hubby are going to the 11:10 at the Imax.
I was planning on getting to Grand Central around 2-2:30, but if everyone else will be there by 1, I’ll try to catch an earlier train and get in between 1-1:30. Any suggestions on where to meet in Grand Central?
We should have a penultimate meetup in the theater lobby, about 3:15-3:30, and a way to signal anyone that gets into the theater late.

ummm… Times square is like a 8 blocks from Penn station… and remember. when your walking in NY it is approx 1 minute to walk street to street and 2 minutes to walk ave to ave. It should take you less the 10 minutes to walk to times square from penn station.
