Name that Starship Class

Yep that is it Locknar that is. I too miss FASA. Used to play Battletech with one of the creators. He would clean our clocks with hover craft. When you go up against the creator of the game your going to lose. But sure was fun.

Cā€™mon! Letā€™s get some more ships! I think ThotFallGuy is up.

Hereā€™s one to keep things going-

Thatā€™s a Class J. Theyā€™ve got shoddy baffle plates, use caution when operating.

That looks like an early destroyer or scout class.

Itā€™s a destroyer, yes, but thatā€™s not the name of the ship class.

I think the Scouts were Hermes, and the Destroyers were Saladin and later were named Federation when they were redesigned.

In TNG the destroyers still had only one nacelle, but in DS9 they had two and they were calledā€¦ Centaur I believe.

Your shotgun approach has served you well, it was indeed the Saladin. I believe, however, that the only single-nacelle TNG ship in the canon is the ā€˜Freedomā€™ class, a modern Saladin analogue seen in the Wolf 359 graveyard.

The Saladin was in the canon, btw, because it was shown on a monitor screen in one of the movies.

Youā€™re up! Letā€™s see a ship.

While not a ship, it is from a Star Trek episode-

Stick it in your flute-hole!

That is the episodeā€¦

 I could have said ā€˜Inner Lightā€™ (scientifically proven to be the best episode of the entire series) but then I figured Iā€™d get creative.

Okay, this should be pretty straight forward:

It was a Kataan Probe, and that is an Akira. And whoever painted those numbers on should be fired!

I blurred the numbers to help participants avoid the temptation to merely google the NCC designation.

You are correct! I was about to offer a hint involving the Clown Gang, but happily there was no need.

I donā€™t know but I think itā€™s from the Anitmated Series?

Also, some advice Omra:
you need to be careful what you name the jpg file, because when I reply by hitting ā€œQuoteā€ it shows the link and the file name of the pictureā€”itā€™s not intentional cheating, but I canā€™t help be see it right in front of me right now:
ā€œantares.jpgā€
Yes it is from the Animated series.

OK this one is carefully named in the jpg file. All you will be able to find out is the series it is from but nothing elseā€¦

The last one is TNGā€™s Apollo class/Tā€™Pau class:

The one before that wasā€¦ Antares Class? I think it was both an automated bulk carrier in More Trouble with Tribbles and ship that gets asploded in Charlie X in the TOS.
