Name that Starship Class

That’s fantastic!

And glad to see I’m not the only one to try to up-arm the Tugs.

LOL!! I know. I mean, come on!! The SF Technical Manual has drawings for 5 types of Tug transport containers: Products, Refrigerated Goods, Dry Bulk, Liquids and even a Starliner container for carrying people.
But no Battle Container? WTF!!!

Yes, Peregrine is correct! And your ship pic looks like a Miranda being sodomized by another small ship.

There’s a reason for that, they modified the Reliant model from TWOK for the TNG episode the above ship appeared in. Added hint: There’s a widely released song that samples extensively from THAT EPISODE of The Next Generation, too.

Added super hint: Here’s the scene with the sampled sound (but not the song)

But the answer is not Miranda!

I am going to go with Soyuz

Ding ding ding! Winnah!

Well done.

BTW, the sample, in appropriate form:

Here is another race’s ship to make it more challenging-

Romulan Bird of Prey (eh, that was too easy…so I must be wrong)

Valdore.

I thought about using that last time.

Starsaber got it!

that is a Larson or a Locknar. I think it’s a Larson, I miss Fasa!

Hint… They tell you in the episode!

Woden. The Woden is an unmanned freighter of unknown size and classification. (TOS)

Hrrh? That one’s either the Botany Bay, or a Robot Ship.

You played the FASA ST RPG too? Yeah, I miss it as well. Played it for several years, and I Gamemastered it. In later years I didn’t use the starship battle system from the FASA game, but instead used Star Fleet Battles with the FASA RPG system.

DY-100 class? The ship that Khan and his people were in cyrogenic freeze aboard.

Totally DY-100. Launched a decade ago via Ariane 5 launchers if you read the Khan books. Pretty well written, they describe the Eugenics Wars as being a secret struggle for power over the last 15 years or so with every big terrorist attack and/or wacky government collapse in our world being the only visible parts of it. A pretty clever way to make it fit into our history.

well the pic is from the remastered space seed, that would make it the DY-100. I did forget about the robot ship… but I haven’t seen the remastered epidode involveing the robot freighters … I don’t know if they used the dy-100 in the epidode. But DY-100 was the right answer.

I still have all the fasa books… but no players and I have the STTCG in mint condition. I found an unopen copy in 1995 and bought it for 10 bucks.

I have the TNG fasa books to well. I also have the LU trek books that were sweet!
