Name that Starship Class

Talos and some of you Trekkers should enjoy this. Name the starship class and you get to post the next ship pic to stump the GWC forumites.

You can use any of the ships from any TV show, Movie or Tech Manual. Fan designs will be allowed once we start to run low on material, but for now… lets exclude them. Ready?

Looks like Oberth class, like USS Grissom but modified a bit.

I don’t remember the Dumont from the TV show. ‘The Search’ was a DS9 episode, when we meet the Odo’s people, The Founders. Was that in the episode? Looks like fan art, though.

You got, you get to post the next pic.

Alrighty. I’ll post one of my favorites.

Prometheus, and I knew that before I noticed the name on the picture (twice)…

The Akira-class is one of my favs. Which might be why I never really bitched much about the NX-01 looking like an upside down Akira.

One of my other favorites:

Daedalus Class, which is what the Kelvin should have been in Star Trek.

This one will be harder because it is from a book series.

I need to be more careful about my pics, some of them have names on them…

Haha I was just about to call you on that, and you might wanna ixnay on the photobucket tag too.

Luna class. Probably Riker’s ship

Wow! Is that what he is flying around these days? Nice.

OK, found a good one

Gotta do better then that. It’s a Constellation class ship. Used it twice in TNG other then mentions.

Really? It’s not Intrepid Class?

Damn, I watch fanfilms more than TNG…

USS Voyager was Intrepid Class.

Here is one for ya.

What type of class is this? Also from what book.

BTW Talos no COUGHing.

Dreadnought class, featured, handily enough, in the book ‘Dreadnought!’. Read that and the companion book a few times as a kid.

Edit: Whoops! My mistake, I got this confused with something else. I know the correct answer, but I googled it while checking my answre so I disqualify myself. I’m not aware of a book that has this ship, but the correct answer is not the one I gave initially above, that’s a different class that looks very similar.

Here is another one. This might be tougher. Have to be a gamer for this. Table gamer that is.

Had to go hunting for the pic but that’s it. Where was it first shown. It was not the Book Dreadnought?

We actually got a TNG version of it in the series finale.
