Oh I’ve loved Yahtzee’s videos for a long time now, hes very original and not a little bit funny either. I think I like his portal review best because he sounds like hes in physical pain when he can’t think of anything bad to say about it. He’s also doubled the viewing figures of the escapist as well so he must be doing something right.

The Bring Down the Sky downloadable content pack will be released to Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Monday, March 10 at 2 a.m. PST, and will be available for 400 MS points. This is the first in a series of planned downloadable content that further expands the Mass Effect universe and continues the adventures of Commander Shepard and the Normandy crew.
Bring Down the Sky includes a new uncharted world that introduces the notorious and feared alien race of the Batarians. A Batarian extremist group has hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Only Commander Shepard can save the millions of innocent civilians before the asteroid completes its deadly descent.
Bring Down the Sky contains approximately 90 minutes of heart-pounding action and a new Achievement worth 50 Gamerscore points.
Mass Effect is exclusively available on Xbox 360 and is rated M for Mature by the ESRB.

Damn, that’s great news! I really hope this is happening. I’ll definitely shell out for it on day one, and lock myself away for, um, 90 minutes. 
thats good new and the really good news is that its one of a planned series of expansion packs; bad news is i’m going to have to shell out more of my hard earned money to Microsoft.
although i’ve always had the feeling no matter what i buy, even when i’m buying green peppers at the Safeway, that Microsoft somehow profits although i guess i’m just being paranoid.
That’s actually true. Green Peppers® is an upcoming Vista©®™ expansion for Windows. If you don’t want to send your money to Bill Gates, you can purchase iPepper (the Mac equivalent) and send your money to Steve Jobs.
On the Mass Effect front, this makes me Giddy. I wonder if the 90 minutes quoted is a single play-through and how it might change depending on your character being either a Paragon or a Renegade.

If you don’t own an xbox 360 and if you can wait 3 months to play this awesome game (I know, I know, it will be hard) it will be released this coming May on PC.
Awesome, it’s been talked up so much I really want to play it. Plus I haven’t played a good RPG in a while. Hopefully the system requirements won’t be too high.
The good part about it coming out in May is that it will be after the semester is over, so I will just have to worry about loosing time from work.

Glad they officially announced it! I was just about to go and spend my tax refund for a 360 just for this game.
this, coupled with the KOTOR 3 news and the fact that “Spore” was announced for this fall (the next game by the creator of the Sims/Sim City) looks to make me a happy PC gamer this year.
I’m an FNC watcher, but they do miss the point sometimes. Of course, so does everyone else. But they’re the top dog and the top dog isn’t allowed a screw up, not even once. Heck, there’s tons of sites where people spend their free time documenting all the evils of NewsCorp. lol
This isn’t what I would class as a screw up though, it’s not like they misread something, it’s that they heard there was nudity in a videogame and clearly thought “nudity in a videogame, I bet it’s ultra hardcore thats demoralising our children,” instead of “Nudity in a videogame, let’s find out how much by talking to a developer or anyone with half a clue,”
I.e. a screw up would denote a mistake made for mistakes sake, whereas this is more of a mistake made through a personal agenda and hatred.

So I’m on the band-wagon. My female character’s name is Jermaine Shepard (ba-dump-bum).
I so envy you playing through the first time. I’m trying to get through a second time to push level 60, but I don’t get near enough time to play. Still, it’s so much fun.
The second time through I’m having a bit more fun, handling things more like myself. For example, I’m having a great time telling the council to piss up a rope. Can’t bring myself to be anything but respectful to Capt. Anderson, though. He’s a stand-up dude.
I’m actually on my 3rd play through (I’m also trying to get level 60 and get achievements for soldier and krogan allies).
I also have to play the game on hard and insane.
