Only if you have enough space on your hard drive. I still am struglling with space after the EE DLC. Though this looks like the first DLC that I am actually intrested in. If I have money after taxes, I might pick it up. Then again I haven’t done Big Hunt on Borderland2 yet.

Thanks for the tech advise. $15 seems like a lot, I hope it’s worth it.

“We’re also extremely privileged to have worked with the late Robin Sachs on the Citadel DLC. #ZaeedForever - @GambleMike

OPERATION TRIBUTE banner features Zaeed.

If you remember in ME2, use of the inferno grenade was Shepard’s reward for winning over Zaeed. So grinding 50,000 with them and using his default rifle is an homage to the character. Nevermind we’re doing it as Krogans and Batarians but not humans, it’s the thought that counts. Avengers assemble for Robin!

Kähn closed his eyes and relaxed. With a familiar jolt he felt the shuttle’s landing thrusters kick in as the assault team descended towards Firebase: White. The nervous energy of the humans on board was almost palpable as they checked and rechecked their gear in anticipation of the impending skirmish.

Bah he though to himself. If they don’t trust their gear or weapons at this point, they’re as good as fodder for the Reaper’s spikes. Besides, when you had nothing to live for, it made it easy to relax.

Kähn’s family had perished in the destruction of the Alpha relay, and despite the vitriolic bile that Hegemony continued to spew, railing against the evils of humans and Counsel races, everyone knew the Reapers were the true enemy. His brood, his friends and their slaves were casualties of war. He was Batarian, and Kähn lived with the knowledge that in the end, blood was always the price that had to be paid.

Humans didn’t understand that, or rather, most of the humans he’d ever met didn’t. In the years he spent on Omega, living battle-to-battle, credit-to-credit, one human had understood.

As the shuttle started to slow, his thoughts went back to memories of Zaeed, the crusty old merc that always seemed too old, to stubborn and simply too mean to die. He’d heard that Zaeed had finally become just another casualty in the war. Another warrior whose name would be lost to time. No matter.

As the doors to the shuttle released, Kähn sprang through the opening, his avenger spewing a hail of death in its path while he pitched an inferno grenade into an oncoming wave of husks. Taking cover from the grenade’s deadly gift of fire and destruction and the chorus of screams, he smiled to himself. Zaeed Masani would approve.

Here’s the link to the BioWare ME3 TwitchTV archive. The dev team plays through the new multiplayer kits on Gold, including the Geth Juggernaut, Talon Mercenary (Engineer), Female Turian Vanguard, and Krogan Warlord with the awesome new Biotic Hammer. With seven new kits being released tomorrow, it’s a great sneak peak!

Enjoy

For your ME3 multiplayer viewing pleasure (BTW, there will be no single player DLC trailer as there’s no way to avoid spoilers):

… and yeah, I can’t wait to play as EDI. :groucho:

I’m glad I hoarded my credits this weekend so I can hopefully get some of the new stuff once the DLC comes out tomorrow.

N7SPECOPS has a mirror copy on Youtube. Don’t miss Bioware Bjorn Taylor sounding remarkably like Barry White. That, and, the Wikia will need a few days to complete updates about the new goodies.

XBox Reckoning DLC is already live before daylight this morning. PS/3 12-3PM PST. PC 12-2PM PST “if not sooner”

Unlike the previous freebie Retaliation (?) DLC, this one features entirely new stuff with new graphical effects, not recycled, excepting the SP weapons made MP. Pretty nice giveaway I must say. The Awakened Collector character and, [strike]at least,[/strike] the M-7 Lancer AR and three other guns (from Twitch feed) are Ultra Rare. The rest are gold Rare, I think.

Content now showing on N7HQ:

Rare: Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle, M-11 Suppressor, Executioner Pistol
Ultra Rare: Geth Spitfire, M-7 Lancer, Venom Shotgun, Blood Pack Punisher

So unless you’ve stockpiled credits, the new stuff will be the stuff that Everyone Else Has at first. As always, the Geth gun is incredibly heavy. Perhaps the biggest fundamental change is the addition of the assault rifle ultralight material mod which allows all classes to carry the existing bigger rifles without previously impractical weight penalties. Revenants for everybody!

If I had a hammer
I’d hammer in the morning
I’d hammer in the evening
All over this land
I’d hammer out danger
I’d hammer out a warning
I’d hammer out love between my brothers and my sisters
FOR TUCHANKA!
- Krogan Warlord with BIOTIC HAMMER

Technically still not tardy, but no PC, PS3 release yet as of 1PM PST. Heavily trafficked BSN forums in meltdown.

That will be neat since the Turrian I had unlock, and been working with uses the Saber as a sniper rifle. Is neat combo. Was disappointed that I got the Geth instead of the female Turrian. Though I am still working on getting the uncommons I like. Though the exploding ammo I got was nice to try out. Hadn’t gotten that before.

I was very glad that hoarded my credits over the weekend when Reckoning released. I’ve already unlocked all of the new characters and 3 of the new weapons. I haven’t played as them all yet, since I’m working on Reckoning Mastery, but they are fun to play and from what I’ve experienced playing them so far they seem to be designed for playing on Gold and Platinum, especially the Geth Juggernaut.

The Krogan Warlord is the size of a motor home. The Juggernaut is larger still. I get that they can’t take cover, even though they still tend to stand in my cover anyway. Overall, I have this overwhelming impression that they do not scale well relative to… everything else. The primary problem is following in behind them, which is frequently since they’re tanks, and trying to cast and shoot around them. Worse, they have their own inherent visibility problems. I’m constantly seeing them unawares of their rears, so that mobs walk up right behind them routinely. And really, with kill synch immunity and mega armor, why should you care what’s behind you?

The Big Hammer doesn’t noticeably do all that damage versus the tinier Krogan’s normal knock back melee, but it sure puts on a light show that obscures targets. I feel, and others have expressed the same in-game, that their hulking bulks put a damper on a long range game. You bring up the scope and often have no line of sight, very especially in narrow corridor maps. I guess a working solution in the short term is to melee up whenever sharing a match with these two, because they dictate a match will be a close quarter match simply by being there.

/whine

On the other hand, EDI/Fembot/Sexbot is a joy to play. She’s much like the high mobility Fury but without all the high risk. Repair Matrix offers tremendous potential to realize Medi-Gel and credit savings. It’s an excellent way to break free of the costly Gold, Jumbo Pack, Gold cycle.

I read the Talon is royally busted. Dunno yet.

The Batarian Gauntlet is just hysterical. Equip it on your least likely character today!

Work and life have generally gotten in the way of gaming this week, however I did unlock the Talon in a premium spectre pack this week, as well as the Cabalist in the freebie pack. I may have time for a match or two this weekend, which should be enough to complete OPERATION: IMPACT.

Only a couple of tweaks this time – expect more when they figure out how to balance Reckoning.

There is a serious bug regarding the Talon Mercenary Engineer where using it resets your controls. Not pertinently, just while you use it. It is a known issue. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/343/index/16050795/3

Commander: What are we doing this week?
Vorchey: EXTRACT.
Commander: Okay, where, against what, at what difficulty, and how many times?
Vorchey. ANYWHERE. ANYTHING. ONCE.
Commander: What’s the catch?
Vorchey: MUST INSTALL FREE THING.
Jugg: Greetings. Of the Commanders in this sector, which one is most like Shepard Commander?
Vorchey: BIG GIANT ROBOT!!!
Commander: Put that away, he’s with us now.
Vorchey: OH. THIS ONE IS NOT SHEPARD.
Commander: All right, let’s have it. What’s in the box?
Fembot: Hurricane +1
Commander: That doesn’t even qualify as a bad joke anymore.
Vorchey: MIRANDA IS NOT HERE EITHER. WE SHOULD LEAVE.
Fembot: There is a high probability recent contents of Commendation Packs do not follow a true random distribution.
Vorchey: THE BOXES HATE YOU.
Fembot: I require a speech synthesis upgrade. I do not wish to sound like a chipmunk.
Vorchey: PRETTY. NOT FLESH. ARE YOU ALIVE?
Fembot: I believe that is my line.

I’m enjoying the new characters so much that I’ve already completed Reckoning Mastery, I do prefer the Juggernaut, Cabal and Krogan Warlord over the other 3 new characters though. Now I’m just trying to decide if I’m going to use the Juggernaut or the Krogan Warlord for soloing now.

I’ve been playing a lot of Asari Vanguard lately, and I gotta say, finishing the Cabalist’s biotic poison-dash, and not ending up standing in front of your target, takes a bit of getting used to. Basically finished a quick round to get the achievement, then went back to finish my 200 rounds with the Asari Vanguard, then switched over to the Asari Justicar. Having a blast with that kit! - Commando Mastery Challenge here I come!

BTW; ThPrime: The Hurricane is the only N7 weapon that I’ve never had drop in a weekend challenge commendation pack. I tend to rotate between Valiant & Eagle. Itching to try out the Hurricane one day…

Yeah, what’s worse is standing in (aka blocking) a choke point and triggering the shield after you’ve drawn a bead on someone. Ack!

Any thoughts on the new weapons? ol_whatsername: if you’ve completed Reckoning Mastery (/tips_hat /gratz - freakin’ impressive) what were your impressions?

Contrary to what they first said, BioWare has posted a Citadel DLC trailer. Needless to say, I’m really looking forward to one last mission with the crew.

I’ve used all the new weapons but the Venom Shotgun as it’s the only one I haven’t unlocked yet. The Geth Spitfire is like an insanely heavier version of the Typhoon or Revenant with the exception that has a ton of ammo, even at level 1, and it disintegrates who ever you are shooting. It’s one of those weapons where you have to choose the additional weapon weight during leveling if you want to be able to use it and use any powers so it’s best used with the N7 Destroyer or the Juggernaut if you don’t use the siege pulse a lot. The Blood Pack Punisher is one of the better SMG’s IMO as long as you use a stability mod or use one of the Turians with their weapon stability bonus. The M-11 Suppressor is essentially a modified Carnifex and it shoots like it, maybe a little bit faster and definitely quieter but put drill rounds on it and it will shoot through the shield of a Guardian. My favorites though are the M-7 Lancer and the Executioner Pistol. The Lancer really needs the magazine upgrade mod since it has very little ammo but it’s worth it for the fewer trips to the nearest ammo box although the cool down if it overheats can be annoying so you have to monitor your ammo carefully when concentrating many shots on one enemy like a Brute as you may overheat and be stuck with no ammo and a Brute about to smack you. The Executioner Pistol though is amazing, despite the downside of a very low ammo count and having to reload after every shot. I took out 2 Collector Troopers with one shot a few times and I’m sure with a scope it would make a very acceptable substitute for many sniper rifles, I prefer to use the pistol heavy barrel and the magazine upgrade with it though. Outside of things like the Atlas, Brute, Banshee’s and the like it takes out most of the other enemies with only a few shots. It’s by far the most powerful pistol with the amount of damage it does per shot, it does more damage unmodded than a few of the shotguns available.
