I got to school today ready to give a quiz…only to find out I’d left the copies at home. Then, on my way out, I accidentally hit the bumper of a car behind me (which was illegally parked, but still), knocking of fits front tag. The car was illegally parked, but it belongs to a really famous, really talented singer and this is a hell of a way to meet him (if he calls me in response to the note I left).
Then, I almost thought I could get sued for some music I arranged and performed this season, but that fear, thankfully, turned out to be unfounded. So I guess that part wasn’t so bad.

TAPPY was the composer of the Metal Gear Solid theme and he stole part of it from a Russian composer and it subsequently got yanked from any games after it was realized and it was basically the coolest theme ever

Nope. Not Tappy (in this case, I would have been Tappy anyway). The composer is Frederic Rzewski, who first came to prominence in the late 1960=s-early 1970’s for politically themed pieces and fiendishly challenging piano music (he’s a pianist himself). He’s a bit of a curmudgeon and difficult to get along with (when I wrote him to ask for permission to use his piece and that we were planning on performing it, etc., all he said was “good luck!” which, for him, is actually being nice. I could have easily gotten a profanity ladened email). Of course, this means that you, or anyone else who’s not a fan of contemporary classical music, would know who he is and he makes much less money than Tappy probably does (although his being an anarchist/communist probably has a lot to do with that too).
I do, however, wish I were Tappy sometimes. Or someone like him. I’d be swimming in money right now. But that was a career decision that should have been made a long time ago.

Ok, fellas, I don’t speak Spanish, and my french sucks too. (and she didn’t teach me the language either. )
Normally, I just reach into the aquarium and grab me a babelfish like everyone does… but unfortunately I can’t use one, due to the fact that I am my own grandfather. Yes, I did do the nasty in the pasty… and this past nastification causes my brain waves to be incompatible with bablefish.
