So our powers been out since the weekend. The girl at school that I have had my eye on has finally give in into me and agreed to go out on a date with me The only problem? EVERYTHING IS CLOSED! I finally get something to go right and every damn mall in a 100 mile radius decides to close! WTF! (Oh by the way the only reason I am able to be only is becasue my grandmothers power is on)

We buried her in a shoebox with her toys and some treats. My 8-year-old wrote her a goodbye letter. It took everything in me not to turn into a blubbering fool.

So sorry! Pets dying really sucks because you want to fall apart yourself but feel like you must present a strong example to the children so they don’t freak out. We have an old cat whose time is very limited. Got him when I was pregnant with the fifteen year old, so it will be a sad day.

I love the letter! It’s good to let kids own their feelings and then they do move on. Hang in there!

the only time I ever saw my dad fall apart was when there was a doggie death in our family. I saw him in a new light, but it was a good one. kids need to know that it’s okay to grieve.

Little rodent life forms are great. Give the girls a hug and let them give you one. I have had several hamsters in my life time and they are little bundles of fun and love. They are escape artists. Strangely they also would go back in their homes. I know that because they would bring little prizes with them. We never could figure out how they climbed back on the table to get in their cages. Once one went into the wrong cage. Who knows.

Free daycare; child abandonment; you know whatever… if thats the case i would have appreciated her at least handing the child to me and not just leaving her in the corner alone… you just can’t imagine the level to which this makes me angry and cops would do nothing about it… you don’t leave a child that young alone.

My allergies are acting up really badly, and it’s like I’m looking at the world through sheer white curtains. Add to that that my one eye is so bloodshot I look like I’ve been punched. AND, I’m wearing my contacts which is drastically compounding the problem, but I’m at work and my glasses are at home. Ow!
