iPhone Geek

Can anyone recommend any good head-to-head games for the iPhone? Not necessarily turn based like Words with Friends, but I am thinking something like a driving game where each iPhone is a car and you can play on a local wireless network.

Thots? Recommendations? Thank you!

Good question. Battleship lets you play head to head, but I haven’t tried it.

Hey, sounds fun.

iPhone update slated. DawnAZ…skip to the end (and anyone not on the 4)

Wow! That would be incredible if my 3G could go back to normal. I love my iPhone (okay, I love my Stromtropper case made only for a 3G) so I’m in no hurry to get a 4G if I don’t need to.

Thanks for the info Solei, I would have passed on the next upgrade otherwise.

I’ve never owned an iPhone, but I’ve recently been thrust into the world of iPad wonderfulness. So now I’m dealing myself in on this discussion.

Battleship sounds cool. Uno was the first game I app I acquired. Like it.

I sooo want an iPad but alas, the price, she is steep.

When I got my ipod touch a year or so ago the first real game I got was Uno. Awesome game well worth the money. Simple game, but could have been simple to screw up too. They did a really good job and making it simple but still very playable and customizeable with all the alternate rules and such.

iPhone. Nethack. Free.

'nuff said.

Wow that just made me realize how amazing an iphone version of Uplink would be. Or Defcon. Or Darwinia. Or all three…

Just installed Waze and used it on a trip, that was excellent! It’s ‘social driving’, it has voice turn-by-turn directions plus it routes you around bad traffic as reported by other people running the program.

Kinda neat, I’ve put a few hundred miles on it and it warned me about a couple of hot speed traps too, pretty cool. Free, which is nice.

Dawn, I’m curious how you made out with the upgrade. Did it improve the performance of your 3G sufficiently? What’s your take on it?

Y’know when you’re driving around and you want to get a Slurpee and you have no idea where to find one?

No?

Well, anyhoo… There’s an app for that.

sweet. 110 miles away!

yeah, there’s no 7-11 in iowa. i miss it.

'stachetastic: Because. Hi-larious.

Dragon Dictation: Haven’t really used, but impressive

Glympse: Interesting way of telling someone you are running late and where you are.

The Daily Show: FREE TODAY

Trundle: Beautiful simple game. Highly recommend

Angry Birds Seasons: Because one can never get enough angry birds

Truer words have never been spoken!

Thanks for the info on the free Daily Show app too!

Great app for Sons of Anarchy fans:

The Sons of Anarchy App. Lots of back-story items, behind the scenes stuff, even deleted scenes.

And Angry Birds, yeah, can’t get enough.

Ocarina is free for 72 hours.

I am sorry to announce the death of Angry Birds who has been usurped by the long awaited Infinite Blade. Remember Epic Citadel? This is the result and it is breathtaking. Even more amazing is the way it takes advantage of the touch interface to put you in the battle. I have only spent a little time with it so far, but I believe this is the next step in gaming.

Inception? There’s an app for that.

That app is krazy kool, sir. Thanks for sharing.
