Well all this talk has convinced me I finally needed to get the first Halo game. It seems like it’s going to be a hit lol. I’m looking forward to playing it.
You’re gonna have a great time. Story-wise, it’s still my favorite – though I haven’t seen three yet, of course. (See thread title.) And at its current discounted price, it’s probably the best value in used games today.
Chuck today Marvel just re-released issue 1 of 4 but with a pencil cover instead of a full color cover that was released a month ago. so you should be able to pick up both today if you had the money to burn. *Edit 2 of 4 won’t be out till Oct. 17
p.s. Just started to read the Fall of Reach and i am really enjoying it, thanks for recommending it.

Glad you’re enjoying it. I swung by Lone Star and picked up the re-release copy (2nd printing, variant 1 of 4) just so I could read the story. (Hopefully my #1 will arrive next week.) I was going to tell you that they confirmed the Oct. 17 date, but I see you already found that.
Too late. I have in my possession a Halo-model 360, a second controller, and a special edition copy of the game – the one in the metal box with the extras DVD, not the uber-cool one.
And don’t worry about the podcast going out on time. I’m completely broke and will be for some time, so I’ll still have plenty of time for 'casting. The next time I leave the house for fun purposes it’ll probably be on a real-life Ghost in 2558.

I am sure you have heard Chuck, but be very careful taking the CD out of the case. Apparently the design on some of the cases causes the discs to get scratched. Apparently they still will be usable, but there have been reports of people getting errors due to the fact the case scratched the game.

Oh man, I totally envy you for the Halo model 360. As I’ve said before, I haven’t been exposed to the universe, but there’s no denying that is one sharp looking console. My lame eggshell white one bows to its greatness.
Just finished the first book and really enjoyed it. I was looking up stuff on The Flood book and that its reception wasn’t that great. Is it not written well? I know its a different author but just curious about having another opinion.
I remember not liking the other two books as much, but I read them anyway 'cause I’m a story fiend.
And speaking of being a story fiend, I just completed Halo 3 on normal. It took about 7-1/2 hours pretty much running through it, but I’m proud to say that I’ve seen the final story.
So this weekend I get to play it again and look for details – and maybe even check out multiplayer.
You finished H3 already on normal?

FPS are easier for some. Its my main type of game I play so I doubt it will take me but a day to beat it unless I just want to savor it.
Also Normal difficulty isn’t too hard, doing it on legendary in under 12 hours would be something speical.
