In all seriousness, nothing turns on a person more than the “meh” attitude 
Find one thing you are passionate about and go for it. Debate is a great tool to have and will serve you well through your life both professionally and personally. Don’t be afraid to try things out to simply try them out. Whether it is a sport, music, theater, newspaper, art, science…whatever…statistically the larger the group the more likely that you will find people of similar interests. This pays dividends.

Also… nothing pays off better than haveing female friends.
If you work as a waiter, or at the movies, or the video store or whatever… You are going to work with women. Here’s what you don’t do… chase them. If you are a nice guy, pretty cool, funny… and trustworthy… these girls are almost predisosed to loveing you like a brother. Accept this. Don’t, and I repeat DO NOT try to chase these girls. These girls are your free ticket to other girls. They will eventualy start looking for a girl for you to date. Also, if you work someplace for a while… you become one of the “in crowd”. When new employees show up they look up to you. ( see ryan Reynolds in Waiting- minus the underage part). This is a great setup for you.The trick is… don’t be seen as a predator. If you are a member of the social work group… you have done a great thing for yourself.
You can go out “as friends” and other girls will see you with these girls. This makes you look way cooler in the eyes of othr girls… nothing turns a girl off ( sometimes ) more than thinking that you’re alone. They tend to think that there is a reason for it and not give you chance. Seeing you out with a pretty girl pays dividends towards girls thinking that you are cool.
Also the other guys advice is great. If you aren’t TRYING to find a girl… you will end up being able to pick between two or three. Always have your “game face” on, but don’t waste a lot of calories being “girl crazy”. Just chill out and do your thing. BE COOL. The girls will show up.
Here is my point. If they see you out with your female friends, If your female friends are working for you to try to get you the hook up… if you mind your own bussiness and don’t stress over them… you’ll do ok.
Nine is great but, xylophone, fife, snare drum, bongos, flute, recorder, tin wistle, ukulele and mouth harp arent cool.

Guitar and/or piano really. There is nothing cooler than a dude who can sit down at a party and start playing the piano well. Learn some standards and you are money.
