Good catch, Moe! DL’ing now.
Edit: Really liked the last webisode. Interesting how they ended on a bit of a cliffhanger. Looks like something bad is going to go down soon…
Edit 2: Who do you suppose he set up a meeting with to warrant the disgusted and confused “him, of all people?” I don’t think they’re talking about the meeting with the Admiral, but rather somebody else. Hmm… Is it Friday yet?
I don’t know how to do the spoiler thing so I will go old school and just put some spaces in…
Did you catch the clean and spiffy Galactica exterior shot? Looks like the Cylon tech that Tigh was talking about has done wonders for the old ship.
Sorry --I haven’t read through this thread. Listening to the 'cast now.
And to answer the Little House on the Priarie question:
The Evil Bitch was Nellie Olsen. And man, was she evil.
I never read the books, but my 9 year old over the past year had read ALL the books.
We watched the TV series religiously when we were kids.
It was the interior shot of the CIC that caught my eye…really cleaned up. Went back to the exterior shot, after watching the Underworld promo, again, and the Galactica exterior is a little better, but not overly cleaned up.
Ahhh - you beat me to it! Yes, a woman’s hat maker is a milliner while a man’s hat maker/outfitter is a haberdasher. Or however its spelled.
Later on is the show was Nancy, Nellie’s adopted sister. I think she could give Nellie a few lessons on nastiness…
I think that might be a tactical space off of CIC, because it has been overly-bright for CIC both times we’ve seen it. Plus, the table is a different shape and there is no Dradis.
Anywho… RUMP ROAST.
Seriously, I had another moment of snorting water through my nose and sitting in the back of the bus with the crazy homeless people while other people edge away from the nutty chick who’s laughing at voices only she can hear…
I think the football analogy with the Pegasus crew was for the current Dallas Cowboys. They have the spiffy uniforms and based on their individual statistics and reputations are supposedly “the most talented team in the NFL”, yet their clash of personalities and egos lead them to be largely dysfunctional and self destructive…
I think that shot was just reused from the series.
Sorta like in season 1 when they would use shots from the miniseries between scenes.
So Galactica would be the Baltimore Ravens, who are widely derided, and somewhat disfunctional, but still seem to get the job done when it matters?
Possibly… Or (how it pains me to say this) maybe the Philadelphia Eagles. Often underachievers and lead by a coach and quarterback who many thought their best was behind them, yet they now seem capable of going all the way…
Grumble Grumble…
I hate to admit it, but they do seem to have a Tigh-rish XO.
Going back to the identity of the Final Cylon, if it’s indeed someone we’ve never seen, Starbuck’s father would be an interesting candidate. There’s this aura of mystery around the guy, that could explain how Kara’s mother knew about her daughter’s destiny. The guy was a professional pianist, and what kind of instrument do you hear usually when a scene takes place aboard a cylon basestar… Ok that may be reading a bit too far into it, but still I’m gonna keep Kara’s father as possible outsider for the Final Cylon’s identity
Wow. That’s a frakking awesome observation. Imagine coming 'round the bend in some torched-out Erf tunnel, and there’s Mr Starbuck’s Dad seated behind a Steinway.
Hey, look at that. It only took about 120,000 posts for someone to use a football analogy on the forums.
nerds
Hey, Fox has been trying to entice the Geek crowd for awhile now!
Joe Flaco IS Lee Adama!
And Ray Lewis is Starbuck
That joke would be hilarious if I knew who those guys were.
Flaco and Lewis, I mean. Not Adama and Starbuck.
gee, it’s quiet in this locker…
Ooh, that’s interesting, especially since music has been so important to the show thus far. Even if he isn’t the Final Cylon, it would make a whole lot of sense for him to turn out being more important than we thought. Like Baltar’s whisper that got developed into the webisodes and like the random painting in Starbuck’s apartment that got developed into the mandala and maelstrom, that’s just the sort of detail the writers would pick up and run with.
