Wow. What is that? When you said Fido, all I had was the image of that 7up cartoon dude with his squiggly hair and thin spindly legs. But man, I gotta see this movie now.
And, another horror movie recommendation from someone who only occasionally dabbles in watching horror movies: Black Sheep (no, not the one with David Spade, but a NZ movie a couple of years ago). Killer sheeps on the loose. Enough said.
You can borrow my porn collection, Michaela. Apparently it’s quite extensive (I just KNEW that’s the call that would make it onto the podcast. I knew it!).
[Armando singing ‘My Way’] Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, extensive porn to mention.
Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
frakkintalos put it in siggy and called it out!
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And watched porn my way.

That was one of Pegg and Wright’s major points in all the press junkets they sat through – they wrote a romantic comedy, that just happened to include zombies.
And for those who have a warm place in your heart for “buddy cop” films, the team did the same thing to Point Break, Bad Boys et al. with their release Hot Fuzz…“By the power of Grayskull!”
Oh this one has a BIIIG cult following in Aussieland… In fact a friend of mine operates a grazing property with sheep as part of his livestock. He thought his kids might freak out after watching it, but in truth they just cacked themselves laughing.
As I mentioned somewhere else, the NTSC set I picked up actually has three discs – seasons one and two, and a bonus disc with some very interesting retrospective documentaries with the cast, directors, writers…wait, those are all the same people. (Funny, wot?)
For all blatant fanboys, fangirls, techno-geeks, angst-ridden artists, net nerds, dweebs and other outer fringe, the series is like coming home. Especially if you’re British, and twentysomething. Which I’m not. In either case. But I wish I was. Both. Stopping now.

I felt compelled to join the forum just to make sure that you guys do get hold of Spaced. It’s one of my fav comedies ever , and packed full of sci-fi, horror, comics & videogame references !! In fact, if you can get hold of the Collectors Edition DVD set, it has an alternative set of subtitles known as the homage-o-meter that lists every reference that they make
Three top Star Wars references that make you have to watch it:
and at Number 1, for all us true star wars geeks. The ‘Lando’ line.
No clip I’m afraid. But basically Tim(Simon Pegg’s character) has just been betrayed by a friend, and in a moment of pain shouts out at him ’ You Lando!’
Anyway, hope you liked my little tasters. There’s lots more in the series.
Dylan
PS I imagine it wont work outside the UK, but Channel4 who own the show have all their comedies available for free on their website : http://www.channel4.com/4od/index.html
If anyone knows a good UK proxy it might work for US folks.
PPS also look up Black Books on it - an ideal show for grumpy people all over the world. You know who I mean
Well, slow down there. Remember, it is part of a series… you can’t skip them
My Little Pony
My Little Pony 2: Electric Bugloo

Gorram site let me download and load the 4oD thingie, and even get all the way to the individual episodes, but when I tried to watch the ep, I was DENIED! Gah!
