I did some work troubleshooting IT stuff over the phone with customers who couldn’t configure how to plug in their keyboards, mouse, printers… I learned to keep it simple. 
I started on using a computer long before others. My favorite troubleshooting was the fact that someone kicked out the power plug. Plugged it in and wow it works.
I still say starting the next podcast at the stoplight is simpler. I however only drive 15 minutes to work.
Mine was “How come the foot pedal doesn’t work??”
Me: Foot pedal? Ma’am, are you sure you have a foot pedal with your PC?
Customer: YES! There’s two small pedals in it…
Me: falls over Ma’am that’s your mouse…" :eek:
Man, I had to hit mute a looong time before I got ahold of myself.
Funny, but I thought for YEARS that modifier keys (control-command-etc) should be foot pedals. Went so far as to look into converting guitar pedals to that purpose. Gave up when I realized that I suck at hard hacks.

My grandfather and I have done very few things together just the two of us, but watching Horatio Hornblower is on the short list. I started for Jamie and because I’m a sucker for all things nautical but really was drawn in.

Of course I may be a little biased, there is not to may hairstyles I don’t like on Jamie, although it was a little too long for me at DC, and he had too much facial hair (I like a little scruff, but it was too much at DragonCon. I should also point out that the long hair in Hornblower are extensions.

yup, Craig taught me many things. For example, the key to fake a good London accent is to have tiny little mouth… the guy is just too funny.
in fact, GalaxyRanger, I lived in Germany for 3 years… Hamburg actually. There are many places where I’ve lived at, that’s why I said it could be a long story XD

Great first post MiracleMac and welcome to GWC. I agree completely, I felt like the entire time Lee and Romo were talking about candidates for president, even Romo’s Head Kitty was yelling out IT’S LEE GODS FRAK IT!!! but all that kept coming out was “meow.”
I don’t think Tigh was promoted to Admiral, I think he’s stilk a Colonel, but he’s now in command of the Galactica until Adama takes back his command.
I need to catch up on my Smodcast episodes, but there’s a lot I need to catch up on, I have over 7 solid days of audio podcasts sitting, just waiting for me to listen to them, but I am totally overloaded as it is.

I definitely have to agree there. Zarek was built up into being a force to be reckoned with, someone who couldn’t be ignored – exacT-ly how he ended up becoming VP in the first place. And yet he disregards the rules of presidential succesion (which ironically are the only reason that Roslin was president originally) and stands aside for another president to be appointed by committee? Zarek has stood up to Adama time after time, but when the law is actually on his side, he gives up without a fight? I hope he has some ulterior motive for remaining as the power behind the throne; otherwise this is completely out of character.
I agree there, although I’ve noticed with many shows (and certainly not just the SF/F ones) that the writing was getting a dodgy in the last episodes right before the writer’s strike. Likewise, many episodes immediately after the strike ended were somewhat rushed and disjointed. Overall, it might just come down to the inevitable realities of the business of making TV interfering with the art of making it.
That’s just wrong. Funny, but wrong.

Great tip! I usually go through Music to Artists in order to get the same result, but this is a lot more straightforward (and a lot quicker if you have a lot of actual music on the iPod in addition to the podcasts). I’ll be doing it this way from now on. Thanks!

Dog or cat they enrich our lives and teach us much. I have had 5 dogs in my life all after I moved out of my parent’s home. 3 who are not with us anymore because of old age. The longest I had 15 years. The others are in the picture to the left. I love my friends cats that I have taken care of with her dogs but will have to get rid of my husband before I can get one of my own. He is very allergic to them. Some days I think a cat would be a wise choice. :D:D:eek:
So do not pet discriminate. Spoil yourself and get one of each. (Just do not get to carried away.) :rolleyes:
