Anyway, I was way too Americanized even at that tender age, I watched stuff like… hm, The Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles etc.
I didn’t mind this episode. It wasn’t the best, but nowhere near the bottom. Of course, I’m now into my last trimester so it could just be hormones. It was a Cally-free episode and that immediately qualifies it as at least decent (LOL). I’m also really proud of myself for making it through the episode without tears even though I’m preggo and have a sick kitty. Also I made it through all the posts about losing pets. I’m not going to write my story since I couldn’t possibly make it through that. I’m sorry for everyone’s losses, having pets is totally worth it! We hope to get a puppy in the winter since one kitty is not enough!
The one thing that really bugged me about this episode is that it was a Lee episode, but they didn’t touch the Lee-Kara storyline at all. She was away for several months and they didn’t get together after she got back? This makes no sense, especially since Kara seemed more like herself. I hope they do something about this soon!
Also, why are they keeping Caprica-6 in the hold? They didn’t trust her initially, but she’s been there a long time. Are they afraid she’s going to do something? And she’s there because she helped Sharon get Hera back. I would have thought when the cylon baseship arrived, those 6’s would have asked for her back. I don’t get it.

OMG You just brought back a flood of memories. I loved David the Gnome and all those Nickelodeon shows as a kid. Today’s Special, PinWheel, Mysterious Cities of Gold, The Elephant Show, Danger Mouse, You Can’t do that on Television, Inspector Gadget.
You’re right, though I fave thought for years it was a German cartoon. Rats.
Re TMNT: my only problem with it was April O’Neil- she sucked! See The Gargoyles for an example of a cartoon with an identical set-up (3-5 weird mutant-y hero-dudes with 1 cool, human, female friend) for a much cooler lady sidekick.

Good point. It’s possible that she’s still on the opposing side in the Cylon civil war. Or that rebel Cylons aren’t even aware of her and so didn’t know to ask. It’s not like Tigh was going to volunteer the information and give up his “love slave”.

I am impressed with your restraint. You didn’t say anything like:
“Britney craaaaaaaaaaped on the floor again.”
“I can’t get Britney to stop humping my leg.”
“When I get home Britney gets all excited and pees on the floor.”
I think they are trying to give us soooo much and i love them for it but i could take a full throttle straight line sprint to the finish with less detours. I think three things would do me good.
- Reveal the final Cylon
- Get to earth
- Explain the “it has all happened b4 and will happen again” line (which i am sure will explain the history of earth and why they left in the first place and why cylons and humans can reproduce…they must be related)

You guys mentioned the Cylon girl dying holding the Doc’s hand and that brought this back to mind. Here is something to ponder… The colonists believe in multiple Gods (pagan) and yet when Roslyn’s friend died of her cancer, she crossed over in the “Christian” way (ie: all of her family was waiting for her on the other side). However, the Cylons are Monotheistic and when the girl died on the operating table, she crossed over into a forest which very much looked like the Summerlands, the pagan belief of the afterlife. Just an odd thought.

Two strong leads going at it would have been great Zareck has the people’s support going against Adama who has the military…coulda been good stuff!
