Both weeks the Defense scored negative points. This is hurting instead of helping. I may just not play them next week.
This Android app, how much does it cost and is it one of those asinine things where you have to buy it every year? Does it cover all of their fantasy sports or just football? And what’s the name so if I do buy it, I can make sure I’m getting the right one?
I found an ESPN Fantasy Football app for free…
Sweet, that’s the exact app I downloaded.
Shame I managed 93 points and yet loss. Still, it’s an improvement over the previous week.
LOL… Fantasy football = RPG for sports fans!

Comedians have been saying for years that fantasy sports are D&D for jocks. d:
While I laugh at being included in the category of “jocks”, I have always wondered why it was comedians saying this and not just everyday people who can look at things objectively.
When I manage my fantasy team, I’m pretending to be a manager in a slightly removed but otherwise similar way to how I’m pretending to be a dwarf in a D&D campaign.
Now, a more amusing thought is that sports fans are frequently cosplayers.
Many of the comedians I saw making the connections were geeks or picked on a lot in school. So, the stage is their outlet.
I wouldn’t say “frequently.” Maybe ten percent of a stadium on a normal day? Halloween and other holidays, however, is a different story.
Really? Count the jerseys. It’s like a quarter of my local bar, maybe forty percent of the stadium.
I wasn’t counting people who just wore jerseys. I got the impression 5thHorseman meant the folks who wore body paint (w/o shirts), dressed up like the mascot, etc. That bunch.
Maybe I have to allow for those who wear cheese heads and hog noses, etc., but I think that’s limited to just a few stadiums/teams.
Anyone can wear a jersey. I have an Nvidia t-shirt. But, I’m not trying to cosplay an Nvidia employee when I wear it. d:
I was counting anything from jerseys and caps to face paint and heads shaved into numbers. You wear the cap because the players do and you want to look like them.
As would I count someone who just put Vulcan ears on to go to a con as a (casual, but still valid) cosplayer.
Note: I frequently wear the baseball cap of my local team.
Note as well: I’m only being half serious.
Sometimes you score 93 points. Sometimes that’s against a beast /smug =P
In another league I’m in, we have the “Sucks to be you” award, which is awarded only a couple times a year. It is given to the team that gets the 2nd highest point total that week, but just happened to be playing the team that got the most points that week.
Sadly, there is no setting for that in the trophies so we award it in the message board on ESPN.
I can manually give out awards sooooooooooo that’ll start happening this week cause that’s a great idea
I prefer positive awards. We can’t all be winners, but it sucks to have a lost rubbed in. How about a “It’s cool to be you” award given to the winner instead?
We are a family here. No need to kick each other when we are probably already down.
Actually, I think that hurts more for the loser. I like the “Sucks to be you” award better. One is smug, the other requires hugs.
I’M Scared, won 2 in a row by sheer luck…Can someone explain waivers pls
