GWC Fantasy Football League

I have no choice. I have to play Michael Vick.

It’s Donovan McNabb (hurt), Josh Freeman (hurt), or Vick.

You should be ok since Kolb is out this Sunday.

We’d be shocked – shocked if Kolb is able to play in Week 2. Concussions should not be treated lightly, and they aren’t these days in the NFL.

Vick is also a very good play this week. The benefit of a scrambling QB is the groud yardage he picks up is every bit as worthwhile as the ground yardage your other RB’s pick up. If Michael Vick has a mediocre passing day coupled with 100 yards rushing, he’s still a very good fantasy pick.

Some of the choices I’m making in my lineup is making me cringe, but I’m just so unfamiliar with my line up so far. I hope my bench doesn’t make more than my lineup this week win or lose. d:

NFL Redzone (SD and HD) has a free preview today, all-day starting at 1pm ET on Comcast.

Try not to get hooked. d:

Another piece of advice: Make sure you all check your line ups 5-10 minutes before the late afternoon and evening games. I got burned last season due to a late injury report.

tries extremely hard not to go off on a rant

Ugh! I got what I hoped for… Is a fantasy league supposed to give you gray hairs? d:

Meh. It’s not giving me any more gray than my Ravens are…

Although Flaco is kicking my ass in both arenas at the moment…

i knew i didn’t like the look of dawn’s team. good game.

Frakkin Flacco. I’m seriously hating on Deva for getting Rivers. Wanted him so bad.

Imagine how I feel about passing on Vick.

Glad I played him.

phew

Thank gods for Frank Gore

Oh man. I got #1 pick for waivers this week. Thanks for beating me so bad…

Wait…

Its official - i do suck

But, I suck most…

Err… Wait again…

Don’t forget to get your waivers in tonight.

i know this league is for “fun” and all that, but good gravy is a four-team playoff a tiny group of people. part of me isn’t too upset i lost, but another part of me is already trying to figure out what that means for the future, since i have to be in the top 28% or so of the league to make the"good" playoffs.

very interested to see how waivers shake out. i’m a pretty active waiver guy, not so big on trades, so i kind of live and die by how i’m able to bolt on weeklies where needed. moreso in a deep league such as this.

Argh at people hoarding 3 qbs… Looks like we all had the same ideas/wanted the same players.

Yeah one of the things I’m amused at is that despite the size of our league/rosters vs. the NFL’s, everyone wants the same six players.

Also, we have a quarterback you might be able to get for cheap…
