Nemo is a genius, a fantastic inventor, and with little effort could probably put Tony Stark to shame once he reads up a bit on modern tech. C’mon the drive system he used on The Nautilus in the book, is still decades ahead of anything we have!

I’ll be honest and upfront. I’m behind in the podcasts and just heard the GWC draft picks and have not heard the other podcast yet. But the idea has been running around in my mind so much I had to go on and make a post before my brain explodes.
Pilot: Data (Star Trek: TNG) - Can pilot the enterprise and can be programmed to pilot anything. Vehicles he isn’t familiar with he can quickly learn it or plug in his positronic brain directly to the system.
Tech Expert: Micah (Heroes) - He is a technopath. I see only one teeny tiny problem with the selection of Tony Starks. He is a genius, make no mistake. But unless this competion is Junk Yard Wars, anything he encounters that he isn’t familiar with he would have to take time to to reverse engineer the technology to figure it out. Oh, I know he would be able to figure it out correctly, but it would still take time.
Recon: Mystique (X-men) - You all said infiltration and reconnaissance. I don’t think Bobba Fett fits this either. He is hands down the best bounty hunter, but I’m not sure if he could infiltrate the enemy without being detected. Mystique has been successful time and time again.
Martial Arts: Eragon Shadeslayer (Eragon) - Not sure if this one fits as it is fantasy and not Sci Fi.

Hm, I misunderstood. I thought we could pick anyone except the ones on GWC team, at least that was how I understood the podcast. I would like to argue that I should still be able to take Data as he was selected as a Recon role, while I would like him as a Pilot. Oh well. Rules are rules.

Maybe not the best choices, but I’m starting to half to scrape the bottom of the barrel.
I’m also going to (for my own edification) add a team leader. All teams need a leader/strategist.
Team Leader: Bean (Ender’s Game/Ender’s Shadow) – I would have picked Ender, but Ender is more the Strategic thinker while Bean is the more tactical thinker.
Anakin Skywalker is already on Team Cackleberry…sorry.
Edit: Micah Sanders is already taken too.

Oh, for heaven’s sake. I didn’t think anyone would have thought of Micah, afterall, most hate the series.
As far as Anakin, I did ctrl-f for that one.
I guess this is what happens when you come to the party late.
Since I can’t get a qualifying team together, I choose:
Carlisle Cullen (Twilight) - Though I don’t have a clue who he is, Forbes claims he is the richest fictional character(http://www.forbes.com/2010/04/13/richest-fictional-characters-opinions-wealth.html).
This way I can buy whatever team I want. Even Bobba Fett will leave the GWC team if I offer him more money.
