OH, how could I have forgotten? The Clerks cartoon series. It came an went so quickly… For my money, it’s as solid as anything in the Kevin Smith canon. In fact, I’m a fanboy, but I like it more than a couple of his movies.
My top one-season-or-less shows that needed more:
Firefly - duh
EZ Streets - great show from Paul Haggis about an undercover cop (Ken Olin) working to bring down a mob boss (Joe Pantoliano). Great writing and an excellent cast.
Freaks and Geeks
Journeyman
American Gothic
Mmmm, I could go on with a bunch more I think, but those are the top of the list for me.
There was a short lived series called ‘Profitt’ that was really ahead of it’s time about a psychopath business person that is climbing the corporate ladder by socially destroying or actually killing the family that controls the company.
Oh yeah, forgot Profit - I’d put that on my list just ahead of American Gothic. Maybe ahead of Journeyman, haven’t decided. Actually it pairs well with American Gothic in a way - what wonderfully twisted characters and storylines they both had! I should note that Dexter is a huge current favorite of mine as well. Not that Dexter was prematurely cancelled of course, but my fondness for these three is a good indicator of my tastes.
Why are we walking like this?
Here’s my list…
Joan of Arcadia
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Firefly
oh and a little show called TIME TRAX!
I LOVED that show when I was a kid!!
I didn’t think anyone else in the world remembered it’s existence.
I’d Kindred: the Embraced…best tv adaption IOC a White Wolf RPG ever(by which I mean the only one…)
David the Gnome.
When I was 5 I had no idea that there were fewer than 30 episodes but I bet my mom sure did! Seriously, this was one of my favorites of all time.
Whoa! Total Recall 2070 is now up on hulu!
Seriously, check it out. It’s pretty much “Blade Runner, the TV series.”
Oh wow. Forgot about that one!
That one is one of my guilty pleasure shows.
Yeah…too bad about the lead actor dying…supposedly it might have made the jump to showtime

Manimal, Automan, and quit a few others made the list. Surprisingly, Firefly did not.
I wish they would have given a proper, respectful time to mourn and started the show back up. There are so many ways they could have gone. They could have focused more on another clan in the City (san fran, if memory serves). I thought the Nosferatu didn’t get fleshed out as well as they could have. Or better yet, moved the show to another city altogether, there are lots of options that are well fleshed out in the White Wolf canon.
I think them bringing in the Sabbat/Cammarilla War would have opened up a lot of potential storylines for them.
:: sigh ::
Oh well, guess we’ll never know now.
Recent Smallville episode reminded me of Birds of Prey.

It had issues, but I liked it a lot!
:: groan :: I hated that show with a vengance. I remember nothing good about it cept the Birds were sexy.
I think i’d rather watch “The Wild World of Batwoman” (If you don’t know, look it up)
The birds and Mia Sara kept my interested. d:
But, I’m afraid to look up your title… d:
Mann & Machine

Wasn’t great, and I wouldn’t want to watch it again, but I watched it and it only lasted 9 episodes. And the Machine was hot! d:
