Very Firefly-esque meta story behind this one. The creator had a grand idea, the network wanted it dumbed down and to cost less. It ran for only one (but a full) season and then died with no resolution.
But I wholeheartedly recommend it even without a decent finale. It is a little dated, but what from the 80’s isn’t?
