Eve Online

Pike, look in your assets… the little safe looking thing on your neocom. you can find your ship there and dock at that station

Also, if you’re still in dock just click “ships” on the left sidebar (if it’s not already showing up on your screen somewhere) then just right click on the ship and select “make active.” This is how you swap ships as well (when you have more than one).

BTW: A couple of us are online in the GWC channel right now.

Thanks for the info, guys. Still boning up.

Currently trying to hand an encryption book over to my agent. What’s the station equiv to a cargo hold?

Oh for frak’s sake. You have to click on “Mission Complete?” Really?

Yeah, that’s kinda standard in most MMOs.

Important advice for new missioners:

[ul]
[li]If you’re transporting something for the mission, remember to put it in your cargo bay before you undock. There’s nothing crappier than hauling your sorry butt four systems over then discovering (when you meet the agent at the other end) that you left “one unit of somegarbageorother” back at home. Doh![/li][li]Beware of missions that lead you into low or null sec space. If you’re still at the point of forgetting to load your cargo, you don’t want to be there.[/li][/ul]
And important advice about Eve:

[ul]
[li]Don’t let the difficulty of the first few days get you down. There’s a really steep curve the first couple of days. Just ask around and others here’ll help you through it. Once you know how to drive your ship, mine, and shoot at things, it’ll get better.[/li][li]Wait until you’ve got the basics figured out and you’ve had a chance to do something other than the first training missionsto decide whether you enjoy the game or not. It’s really sad to see players try one or two missions then quit because they think that’s how the entire game works. That’s like literally 1% of the game experience. Stick around a couple of weeks at least.[/li][li]Don’t be afraid to ask questions a lot. There’s no reason to bang your head against the wall for hours trying to figure out how to do something simple (but confusing) when someone more familiar with the game can help you in minutes.[/li][/ul]

I want to give this game a chance, I’m just not into it right now. I’ll try again in a couple weeks.

Ah, haven’t played any modern MMOs before.

Give it a little time, Pike. The first week or two is crazy overwhelming in terms of managing and learning everything. Start small, work your way up. And if you need help, don’t be afraid to ask.

A medium-time lurker reporting in due to the most recent podcast. In game character Tellnan Matkiel or (more rarely) Marcus Baviasi

Whooo! I’m finally able to fly (and do it justice, not just barely pilot the thing) my covert ops/stealth bomber ship. Be sure to hit me up ingame if any of you ever need the services of an invisible torpedo launcher >.>

The is a new marketing video from CCP showing the world of EVE online. Hope you enjoy…

Hi all,

Thanks to the recent podcast I’ve joined EVE as a complete noob. Please look me up out there under the same name. I look forward to meeting you all!

I’m in the same boat (as it were.) As soon as I figure how to look you up, I will…

Just add the GWC channel to your comms panel and you will see everyone else who has done the same. That way you don’t have to look anyone up.

Just right-click a tab in the comms window thing (you know, the one everyone is chatting in) and it should be pretty straightforward from there on how to add the channel.

Hi fello Eve players. I have just started a trial account and am 2 days into it. At the end I will stop playing not because I don’t like the game, it’s great, it’s just a huge time suck. I’ll continue playing until my last day. So if anyone is interested with whatever I accumulate in the game ie:Isk, ship, weapons, etc…Please just give me a holler and it’s yours. My Eve-Online name is Hallus Moon. I have already lost one ship but I still have my Frigate: Veritas.I would rather give this out to a GWC clan memebr than just loose it at the end. Cheers! SpaceSkull

Well I finally got my new video card and am back in game. I was able to get my goofy little Jove shuttle to safety from the depths of hostile 0.0.

I have been doing inventory on all my gear to see what’s been rotting in my hangers for the past two years.

the good news is I found 3 Battleships (2) Megas, (1) domi, Other ships includ, 2 Battlecruisers, steathbombers, and other sorted tech II ships and gear.

Now for the problem, 1 mega is in Hostile 0.0 where I can’t dock, and my other gear is scattered across 87 other systems (no joke)…

So I have taken one of my Indys and I have grinding hauling gear and ships, which has been uber boring:)

Feel free to add me to the GWC’er list

In game name:

Cowboy

Also for any new folks or people training in ways of the gun. I have SEVERAL skill books that I do not need (already trained) or will not be using. I will give to GWC’ers who need them for FREE (my own version of audible). I’ll make a list later of what I have to offer. If they were looted rest assured they came off somebody who deserved it…lol:D

I have several level V and can only wonder where I would be if I did not take 2 years off. :frowning: (note the date of birth, he needs to be in the eve rest home)

Does he leave his turn signal on?
