Eve Online

Eve Online rule # 1: NEVER undock in anything you’re not prepared/can’t afford to lose.

Unless you’re on the test server Sisi (Singularity) which I have to suggest we use. Cheap ships, cheap modules and there was a recent mirror last week.

I keep five Kestrels handy. While I have nothing against Rifters, missiles are my best trained weapon skillset. Whatever works best for you, go with it.

Here’s a killmail that illustrates the power of cheap ships in numbers.

I hopped on an allied roam today that was t1 destroyers only. We ran around the north trying to pick fights. On the way back, we got stopped by a bubble on a gate and there was the Panther all by himself. He obviously thought he was going to mop the floor with us. He lasted about 45 seconds. He went down so fast that I was, unfortunately, unable to get him locked before he popped:( Since the killboards still don’t value faction mods correctly, the loss is more like 2 bill isk.

Doubtful I will be able to join you for timezone and possibly standings reasons but I wish you luck.

Yeah, plus we won’t have to worry about remembering to switch to a jump clone without training implants :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s an updated picture of my fleet (with some new names I’m sure most of you will recognize  )

Here’s the fit I’m thinking of for a Kestrel if I’m going to be around when we do some fleet PVP. When I was regularly flying frigs, this would have seemed pretty expensive, but now it’s 2-3 missions worth (not counting bounties)

Damage Control I
Micro Auxiliary Power Core I

Warp Scrambler I
1MN Afterburner I
Small Shield Extender II

‘Malkuth’ Standard Missile Launcher I, Bloodclaw Light Missile

With the afterburner you might drop the scrambler in favor of a disruptor. A disruptor will give you a point out to 20k, and without a mwd to close range quickly you may find yourself out of range more often than in.
As a general rule, I don’t fit a scram without the ability to close that range VERY quickly, and if you’re going to be close enough for a scrambler to work you might as well use rockets because you’ll get more dps.

Chuck, any word on if Frig Summit 2010 is gonna happen? :stuck_out_tongue:

One last task beforehand: I need to talk to the Juanster to make sure he’s set up. He recently changed computers, so we’ve gotta make sure he’s good to go. Same with Sean.

I’ve got two expired accounts. I’ll be traveling for mothers day, and wanted to save on the isk that would be spent when I won’t have access. But, I plan to reactivate them before the 18th (Tyrannis), prolly on the 12th. I can still make due with the 3 that at active though. ^^

Oh, and all accounts are active on Sisi. d:

One thing’s certain: Whatever we do, it’ll be on the live server. EvE’s like life: nothing risked, no fun had.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve heard bad things about rockets, so I’m going to swap to a warp disruptor (not meta-0 since that’d put me over CPU). I’ve bought everything, and once I get out to Jita, I’ll have “GWC Redshirt” fitted out :stuck_out_tongue:

Pretty sure we’re going to be forming up in Oursulaert when the time comes.

I’ll probbably already be in Eve Uni by time yall manage to pull this off…not sure I’ll be able to go becuase of that though.

New trailer is out:

I’m linking instead of embedding because the vid deserves to be watched in HQ.

Doesn’t seem to be much interest, but the free HD trailer is now available at:

SOOOOOOOOOOO Badass!

Aye very much so, reached my record for staying with the game yesterday  Even did my first PVP over the last couple days. Starting to get called a jinx though, whenever I have to leave the fleet has been jumped 60 seconds to 5 min later.

Chuck: Any word on operational status? There’s a whole universe full of crap waiting to be blown up.

And, might want to get this done before the 18th. Never know what the new expansion will break.

Less than a week left. Set long skill queues before patch (preferably starting the day before to account for different time zones).
