topher-summer and topher-topher scenes were swell. so nice to get the equivalent of a dollhouse movie every week… while it lasts.
was great little dollhouse movie. with 5 and 6 glad to see Millie again; and you know what; it was great to see Alexis act in a strong role again and not just comic relief . anyone else thinking about all those great Faith Westley scenes. from angel. when they were together. The summer topher scenes were fun. and the topher doll topher scenes were just hilarious. and in my opinion this is the joss we all know and love
yeah, but it also took great actors to pull it off. Enver Gjokaj is simply an amazing actor…
agreed i honestly think of all the new Whedon actors he is the standout of the show.
A Joss Whedon interview about the concept and cancellation of Dollhouse, also talks about “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog,” “Glee,” and “Terminator”…

Topher’s dream date with Bennett
Found myself listening to the episode on my iPod (without access to the video) and could not tell the “Tophers” apart!
Really hope we get to see more Bennet vs. Topher action.
Is it possible Bennet is still a doll, but just without the (tech) mechanism that renders them vulnerable to the disrupter?
wow after 7 and 8 i’m just done with Adel; woman needs a bullet in the face. another great 2 episodes; love to see alpha; again. Tudyk really does a great job as a black hat; joss’s rule of if an actor can do comedy well; they generally exceed at other disciplines. again proves itself correct
Yes, now it makes much more sense why Echo/Caroline is so hostile towards Adele in the Epitaph One memories, even though at that point Adele seems much kinder, remorseful even.
It was nice to see Alpha again, and Ivy too! But I’m still hoping to see the return of Whisky very soon as well.
you are so right. i can’t wait till Whisky returns.
I finished watching Season 1 yesterday for the first time. I watched every episode back to back, thats how into it I was. Honestly I dont get the criticisms Ive heard on other podcasts/forums. This show is awesome! Im glad at least I get to watch season 2 to completion, even if it never comes back.
i really enjoyed the episodes where Paul showed that he is extremely good at his job. because i think that needs to be established for season 1 to work.
i guess he won’t be good at his job for a while now
WOW! Color me impressed with last night’s double episodes (or really, to the entire 6 episodes in December). The reveal of what and how the attic is (I won’t spoil anything, so that’s all I will say. Oh, and Cheeseman!) was riveting and pretty kickass awesome…and I can’t wait til January to finally see what Whedon comes up with in the last episode- though I’m starting to finally feel the pain of losing Dollhouse in 3 more episodes. For me, it got extremely good (minus a few here and there minor glitches) for the last couple of episodes, and I’m loving the total mindfrak it’s got going in my brain.
Alrighty, about the finale…did Joss know the show was cancelled at that point? Are we gonna get an ending leaving us salivating for more or will there be closure? Will we have to storm FOX begging for an ending, any ending?
No, begging is the wrong word. Demanding should be used.
After the December episodes I’m so much more pissed off at the execs than before the hiatus. And a bit angry at Joss that he did go back to them .
In the end I think that the last 2-3 episodes were filmed after the cancellation was known, so we’ll get an ending.
I am really afraid that Whiskey will not come back to the show before it ends…
well i guess she is coming back in the previews.
The last two episode have a same theme. Brains being connected to each other. The soldiers and the Attic brains. And Echo was able to overcome both. Maybe that’s the way to overcome Alpha…
One thought on Clyde 2.0. Could it be that the one in the attic is actually Clyde 2.0? Could it be Clyde 2.0 was the partner of Clyde 1.0. And Clyde 2.0 was the one with morals? And Clyde 1.0 threw him in there so he can enjoy the power? I think that would be more interesting.
This week’s end-of-episode music was Swedish singer-songwriter Anna Ternheim. All her stuff is that haunting. And she does a nice cover of Bowie/Iggy’s “China Girl.”
Here’s the song:
I still think that the person with the mask in the weird sequence with Echo and Whiskey will play an important part of the story.
Oh Man. I am gonna miss this show.
