Dollhouse

opinion hasn’t changed Adel needs a good killing… woman gave the company the equivalent to a few hundred nuclear bombs to accomplish something she could have had them do with a few clever words.

the series really picking up a head of steam now.

hi all,

Do you know when the finale will be aired?

January 22, 2010

To be fair, this is not Firefly reduex. Dollhouse has been given a fair shot, with IMO, it’s worst situation being that it was scheduled Friday night. The Fox people gave the show a 2nd season when ratings suggested it didn’t deserve one. Dollhouse has turned out to be pretty cool. Joss noted that in going back to Fox, he was working with different people, people that he trusted. Good people and wishful thinking can only go so far, and with Dollhouse, they carried it the best they could. I’m enjoying Dollhouse’s storyline and in some ways I’m sad to see it go. I don’t think we’re talking about heartless TV execs here. Dollhouse has been given more than a fair shot in terms of broadcast television.

I expect we’ll get at least something of a clean ending. Dollhouse had been canceled before the GWC interview with Miracle Laurie, and she was filming on set. They’re bound to be able to squeeze some closure in.

Forgot to mention that I had caught up, but man these episodes are great. I was ready to throw things at Adele until the end… muwahaha. Can’t wait for the rest, I’m sad it’s ending because I’ve really enjoyed it, but I think it will actually end, which is also satisfying.

Great acting, fun times. And GOO TUBS!

Do we know yet if FOX is going to air “epitaph” as the finale episode?

They should…which is precisely why they probably won’t :frowning:

Show has gotten REAL good lately too

from what i’ve seen online, there is going to be an episode named epitaph 2 for season 2. so they will most likely not air the season one epitaph. i think Felicia Day will appear in this season, at least so i heard.

That’s what I heard, too. It was an interview with someone on the production (forgot who) and the interviewer jokingly asked if the finale would be called Epitaph 2, which they then confirmed.

since there isn’t TSCC anymore, i wouldn’t mind seeing Epitaph 7

I agree mostly on your points about Firefly, but the whole point of Serenity was that it was the ending of the story. So, we got a beginning and an end, and no middle. I haven’t read the comics, so maybe that’s where the middle is.

Dollhouse is trying to bridge that gap, I think, by moving quickly. I think I’ve read somewhere around here that under other circumstances the plot twists we’ve seen this season could have been many-episode arcs in themselves (e.g. Victor & The Groupthink Warriors). – Hey, that sounds like a band name!

I don’t think there’s a big sci-fi feature movie in Dollhouse, so I’m glad to get this much out of it.

Holy Cow. Mind blown.

What does it all MEAN?

Two more episodes… I think I am going to cry.

Lately, I’ve been thinking of Dollhouse as a 19-hour movie. And maybe you could trim five hours.

Man, would it have been nice to see all this stuff play out over five or eight season. Assuming they could put together better filler episodes.

Joss Whedon just turned me into doll state with his mind…

did anyone catch Caroline saying “i bet she can kill you with her brain”? summer/firefly fan just died…

The surprise that came out of nowhere for my was of Boyd (no not the Saunders-related one). That’s the one that I just can’t track, based on previous episodes. How could he be doing his real job when he was Echo’s handler in S1? I would have assumed his real job would have kept him busy.

i think Boyd was Clyde 1.0’s partner…

Mebbe Boyd IS Clyde. Or was. Or wasn’t, but is now.

So, the Boyd thing came out of nowhere for me, but the one big thing that I appreciated was more time with Caroline. In the flashbacks we see her as an assertive and fairly manipulative bi – ahem – person. We have, in the December episodes, started to see Echo become more assertive in her own right, and that seemed to me to be Caroline’s natural personality bleeding out. We know, from the baby momma episode & others, that wiping the dolls personalities isn’t always 100%.

In the past, I would have agreed with others that Dushku wasn’t the strongest cast member on the show, but I am really enjoying this change and growth of Echo’s personality.

Welcome About, TonyEx.

I totally did not see the thing with Summer Glau coming. Not often you get those total WTF?! moments.

The summer thing def got me by surprise! but the boyd thing def felt like a good fit. it seems like if the story is as it is turning out, Boyd might have wanted to keep an eye on them. But what is the end game?

PS I just lucked into watching the “unaired” S1 “finale” with the comentary, and if you watch that with the commentary and then rewatch this last ep, u’ll be in on a good bit of info…
