Eve tells Donner & Ted that the Mars mission failed because “it” (Beta and/or Alpha) didn’t want Sharon & Walker (the 2 astronauts that were left behind on Mars due to the storm).

There is no trust between the crew and Mission Control.

Meanwhile, back on Antares the crew prepares to vote in the election.

Meanwhile back at Mission Control, Trevor Williams, a high profile reporter is fishing around for answers to the numerous questions.
Trevor won’t be deflected by Goss.
Nadia is sulking in her quarters.

All these mysteries are making her crazy.

Donner to Ted:
He’s convinced they’re making the same mistakes they made on the first Mars mission.
Donner is convinced he should be piloting the lander.
He’s afraid for Paula - that Beta maybe doesn’t want her.

Paula to Zoe:

Paula, with a some chewing gum, sticks a St. Christopher medal to the lander “dash”.
Meanwhile back in the lab, Jen is talking to Rollie.
The distance between the two is growing.
She can’t forgive him for not telling her about Beta.
