Goss: He realizes.

Eve: He’s not gonna leave without her.
Donner talks to Ajay, who tells him about Zoe and the miscarriage and that, yes, he was the father.

ASCAN training:
Ajay and Donner are waiting at the train station for Zoe to finish her tattoo.
Donner:
When I got back from Mars, I got snipped. You know why I did it?
I did it because I didn’t want a wife. I didn’t want kids.
I didn’t want anybody to have to go through what I experienced with losing Sharon.
When you do what we do, death is part of the deal.

Donner to Ajay:
Okay. Well, I’ gonna need some help holding this go-cart together
'cause there’s no way in hell I’m leaving without her.
Ajay: Roger that.

Donner: Zoe, how we doing.
Zoe: Getting a little warm out here, but we’re doing fine.
Donner: This bus isn’t leaving without you two.

Mintz:
Zoe’s dehydrated and her heart rate’s through the roof.
Nadia:
Why do these things go to so much trouble just to kill us?
Wass:
See, that’s the thing that’s been bothering me.

Maybe it’s some kind of test.
Maybe the whole idea is that it isn’t supposed to be easy.
Paula:

Mintz:
The devil took everything from Jobhoping he’d renounce his faith.
Wass:

Paula:

Zoe’s suit off nominal in all areas. Thermal cooling seal are close to going.
Goss:
What her distance to the lander?
150 meters.
That’s at least another 7 mins.

They’re brainstorming to find a way to adjust Zoe’s suit to give her more time.
They’re going to let the suit’s internal temp to go to 49C (120F).
They let Zoe know.
Zoe just keeps putting one foot in front of the other.
Slowly toward to lander.

At the train station Donner & Zoe are talking.
Zoe:
Donner, no regrets. You and I will always be connected in some strange way I can’t explain.
Zoe kisses Donner goodbye on the cheek.
Back on Venus:
Donner
Zoe you’re going to make it back here to me.

Everyone on Antares is urging Zoe on.
Ted: She’s 100 meters out.
Jen: Come on Zoe, hurry.
Donner: I need you to push.
Paula: Come on Zoe. Come on.
Mintz: Come on.
Ajay: Go Zoe.
Rollie: Come on.
Zoe’s suit is sounding like it’s going to seize up any second.
Zoe keeps pushing. The baby is looking beatific and beautiful.
At Mission Control
the floor erupts in shouts of encouragement.
Go Zoe.
Come on.
Let’s go.
