Strange but I have been enjoying the old TV show Land of the Lost. It has been on sci fi to advertise the movie.
while nowhere near as special as having a child or rebuidling nes systems… spouse and I had a date, and we finally saw the new Terminator movie. Much discussion was had, and he even said he might listen to the podcast on Terminator with me now that we’ve seen the movie (there’s hope for another convert! mr. casilda! lol)

I found this old pc game I used to play called Birth of the Federation. Great old turn based strategy game from like 1999-2000. Just finished about an 8 hour session.

So I feel like I’ve been gone for weeks, but really I’ve just been in and out all week. Anyway, I got new head shots done yesterday (which I’ve just narrowed down from about 215 proofs to 31 that I like, which I’ll then narrow down further and further before asking the photographer for touch ups that I can then buy. Complicated!) AND got to spend a great day in New York visiting friends. Best thing of all, perhaps, is that I drove to New York with no worries AND I was able to park all day FOR FREE!!!
(I do wish I’d gotten to see the GWC NYC crew though. That one’s for the bitch and moan thread.)
Oh, and I’ll finally have music performed in New York over the next two seasons (or possibly twice during the 10-11 season. Not sure yet).
I now have 3 working NESses, a soldering iron burn on my hand, and the feeling of a job well done.

That is indeed thoroughly awesome. I have one sorta-working NES. 
If it’s the flashing light problem, the easiest fix is to hop on eBay and get a new 72-pin adaptor, and pop it in.
They’re a bugger to get to England though, so parting out old NESses and rebuilding is the best bet here.
My 3 spare NESses are going to be turned into micro PC’s, stocked with emulators and sold off to recoup costs, and the working ones are cheap Christmas presents, not counting the one I’ve kept for myself which I’ve hooked into the GOATstack in the office for retro fun times.

It sounds like congratulations are in order, but I am not sure what you are talking about. So great going since you did something that sounds difficult.
I got to see “UP” with my oldest and the mrs. today. I got all misty and had to reach out and hold my SO’s hand during the various montages of the couple’s life together. Then I went swimming with Olivia (that’s my oldest), who left me mostly soaking to hang out with one of the boys that lives next door. If I didn’t know better I’d be worried…
