I just finished grading all of my students’ finals!
I am glad things are improving.
I have a few more weeks with my students.
I went to see Jersey Boys. It was fantastic. It is about the Four Seasons and the music was outstanding.
So I was helping out at graduation and it turns out that over the past years I’ve had more than a third of the majors in our department in my classes, and they are just all lovely and nice and did so well. Several of them told me that my class was their favorite, and many of them thanked me, which was just so touching. They’re a great group.
I had some of them their first semester in college, and now they’re graduates. I’m beaming, I’m so proud of them
I got to see my nieces and nephew this weekend. No pics of the nephew but here are my nieces at 6 months!
That’s Samantha on the left and Elizabeth on the right. At least I =think= that’s Sam on the left. I can’t see the back of their head from here to check for a birthmark.
Awww. Look at that. Woochie Coohie Coo.
Saw Pooh bear and it reminded me of something. When my first child was born, she got Pooh for a gift. She breast-fed and…well…if you look at Pooh, his nose and snout looks like a boobie. She used to grab his face and suckle. It was so funny and cute. Now every time you see Pooh, you’ll think of boobies. Yeah I know. Thanx for sharing, FT.
Holy craaaaaap! The little cylons have gotten big since the last time we saw them. So nice to see them thriving.
Ah Talos! Only you would see Winnie the Pooh and think of boobies. I love you, man!
I just got back from conducting the Wabash Valley Youth Symphony in a performance of my second symphony (well, my OFFICIAL second symphony. It’s actually the THIRD time I’ve written a second symphony, and the number’s not even in the title this time around. I know, I know: provocative fraker, aren’t I?). It wasn’t perfect, but man those kids were great to work with. They gave it their all and did a great job. What a nice week I had with them. Now, I get to go home to my girls. Yeay!
Boobies, huh? Wow, I never thought of that. And I have boobies. Hmmmmm…
No kidding! They’re both over 16 pounds now. My sister-in-law is reaching the lift limit for her bad back!
Poohbies!
Yeah, that’s a bit weird… but I can’t stop thinking about it… Hmmm…
Whoa! Elena only recently hit 21 pounds and she’s almost 2! (She maybe weighed 16 pounds last Christmas.) Good for the twins! (Not so good for mommy, though.)
I just received tickets to see Bill Bailey in June! Woo!!
I got surprise tickets to go see Cirque Du Soleil show Saltimbanco. My dad texted me on Sat night asking if i wanted to go the next day. Of course i said yes. It was a pretty good show. Its a Traveling Arena show and it translated pretty well to Arena. I have seen two other Cirque shows and they were much grander (one a Tent show the other the one in Orlando) But this one had a nice feel to it. Much more like a small circus as opposed to Ringling. It was good times.
My side of the family have always been over-achievers.
This was good in a complety out of the way goodness. The truck i have been trying to get running and finally gave up and took to the mechanic has finally been taken into the shop so hopefully i will have a working truck tomorrow. Then i came home and called in a repair for my AC using my home warranty, using my asthma as an excuse i managed to arrange for them to come and fix it tonight…at some point. i was going to use the surprise cool weather and overcastness to mow my lawn but instead i found what i thought was a dead deer in my yard. upon closer inspection i found it to be still alive so i called the sheriffs office and they arranged for folks to come take care of it (if i was a little more redneck i would be eating venison tonight). It is now conceivable that the AC guy and the Wildlife person will be at my house at the same time (the deer is on the same side of the house as the AC is). The only thing i didnt do that i wanted to do was mow my lawn…i guess i can do that tomorrow.
i still need to figure out what to do with the chicken in my fridge…(IYKWIM)
if you’re looking for an IYKWIM kind of idea, I suggest you speak to Tray. he’s got it all mapped out
A few weeks of pain and torture for your students:p
My mother/sister saw it, my mom liked it.
While I’m more than happy to offer all sorts of gutter-related advices, but with a piece of chicken? Even my wicked mind cannot think of use for a piece of chicken in the fridge other than maybe a nice chicken marsala with mushrooms, maybe.
Oddly enough i decided to end up going with Grilled Chicken marinated in Curry/Coconut milk. I just added the IKWIM cause i originally wrote “I need to figure out what to do with my chicken” but added the fridge…the IKWIM stuck in my head thus came out…
