Cool craaaaaap you've acquired/done lately

Okay, less tired and more lucid now.

I’ve never been in as much pain as I was on Monday evening when I woke up after surgery, it felt as if someone had parked their car on my chest, and the other surgery (don’t worry, I won’t describe that particular process) felt like I was on fire from the waist down, thank god for the drip in my arm and on-demand pain killers!

The rest of the week was really fun, the pain lessened, and the after-care was fantastic, I’m still tender all over, and my arm’s bruised like a baddun from the needle in my arm, I’ve still not taken it all in yet, but all in it’s own time I reckon.

Did I miss anything fun then?

There was some movie that came out. Don’t recall the name…

Glad you’re merely sore.

I saw Trek @ the IMAX theatre in NYC Times Square with the others from the Northeast Meetup. It was awesome!

Yeah I’ve still not seen it :frowning:

Sore enough to make me unable to leave the house for Star Trek.

Damn major surgeries…

Glad to hear your surgery went well! Here’s hoping the soreness goes away as soon as possible and you feel up to things like going to the movies soon.

So I take it on the B & M thread you complained about the bad scheduling of your surgery on the week of the Star Trek movie.

Rest up and do what your doctors tell you. (Sorry the mommy in me came out again.)

Good to see you back! I’m glad you’re healing up, Monkey! You’ve missed some fun, sure, but you’ve got time to catch up!

I watched Star Trek and got nachos (as opposed to hot dogs).

Nah, I’ll see it at the weekend, this was slightly more important.

God, something more important than Star Trek… 11 year old me would be appalled by that statement.

It wouldn’t be you if the Mommy didn’t show up!

Wow you are getting out to the movies so soon.

It has not rained in months in Florida. Sprinkler went down and the person we used before is out of business. Life has been shall we say tough so the grass was not top on my list. I find someone new. It was a cheep fix, no digging needed. Oh then it rained for the first time in months.

If I new fixing my sprinkler system would bring on rain and save the state from so many fires I would have put it higher on my priority list.

Seconded! I also got a chance to show off my new dog tags, which definitely fit in the “cool craaaaap I’ve acquired lately” category.

I might go see trek twice this weekend

yeah… technically not supposed to, but I’m NOT missing the film! Responsible me says taxi there and back, and the BIG seat so I can lie down.

WOO! TREK!

Finally got to see Star Trek, and I went with my sister, who is a doctor, so i felt fairly comfortable doing it, she told me I was safe to go, and she’d know!

The cinema was full of morons, but it’s such a fun film I eventually was able to tune them out.

I went to see Star Trek at the NYC meetup with some great people, and then I went to a local showing of ST with my local friends. The movie is well worth the second trip.

for the last little while I’ve been fighting a persistent mystery illness, cause the doctors aren’t sure what the hell it is. but the hospital called today with my test results, and things are getting better so I’m calling it a win.

I am loseing my Star Trek virginity tonight at 7 :):)

I get to conduct AND have a piece performed at the Kennedy Center two weeks from tonight (DC area GWC’ers, take note).

I saw Trek again - at a better theater (certainly better seats, though the picture wasn’t focused or aligned anywhere near properly. Annoying) Fun!

Congrats Armando! That’s quite the accomplishment!
