I love his shows on TV. He does some of the coolest things.
I just got that yearly letter that tells you if the administration thinks you are a good teacher. They like me.
Is that your contract or were you being that literal?
Each year they have to say if you are doing the required standards. You sign off and it is done. Every 3rd year it is more formal and they rate you. Friday everyone will find out there job status. My small school system is looking at having to let go 250 teachers.
trek tickets! opening night!
You must make a full report.
Okay, technically cheating, but i won’t be around to actually post about it for about a week.
Tomorrow I go to a lovely private hospital, where I will pay a large amount of money to have surgery. VERY IMPORTANT (to me) surgery. The actual surgery will be done by (hopefully) Monday afternoon, and I’ll be there for a week post-op.
Ya’ll be good without me, and don’t do anything REALLY fun, cos I’d hate to miss it!
Oh, Monkey! I’m so excited for you! Best of luck and a speedy recovery! You’ll be in my thoughts, sweetie
I’m very excited too!
Coming around from the sleepy drugs will probably suck tho! heh heh
Good luck, Monkey! Report back ASAP.
You keep sounding happier each time you post. I am glad you are doing what makes you feel better.
Best of luck, TNM! Here’s to a quick and painless recovery and many years of happiness after this procedure.
Good luck TNM… Hope all goes well.

But she’s coming home tomorrow!
Leah’s law dictates that, since I’ve posted on the bitch and moan thread today, I post here too:
Today was my last day for the semester. And, while I’m still uncertain about the fall, it feels damn good to be done.
We did something kinda Cool on Saturday.
Friday night a good friend of ours called and said there’s an open house at the place where my wife and I had our wedding 11 years ago. It’s a beautiful place near the ocean called the Crane Estate at Castle Hill in Ipswich, Mass. Our friend Betsy and her husband Bob have always said our wedding was the best they’ve ever been to, and immediately thot of us when they heard about the open house.
So on Saturday Betsy, Bob and their daughter went with us (our kids too) to the open house. All the rooms of the old historic house were made accessible for a complete tour (which they only do rarely) —very interesting history. And visitors were free to roam to the grounds and have a picnic lunch on the grass, which is what we did.
It was fun explaining to the kids "Here’s where we stood to say our vows. Here’s where everyone sat outside for the ceremony. Here’s where the band was. Here’s where daddy’s ring went flying off while dancing and the band lead singer fortunately found it and discreetly handed it back to me. :o "
Weather was perfect, the memories of our wedding day as clear as if it were yesterday (we’d not been back to the place since the wedding). Kids enjoyed playing with each other. Wife took lots of stunning pictures. Later in the afternoon, Kids and wives went for a walk around the grounds, leaving us lazy male lions napping on picnic blankets.
A special day.
Wow! Great fun for you and the family. That is awesome!
That’s awesome and super sweet, Thot.
oh! and I’m done with my final paper of the semester. All my writing for the next two years will be focused on the diss. Awesomeness!
