Cool craaaaaap you've acquired/done lately

Did I not tell you things would get better, Stroogie? Didn’t I?

Of course, ever the pessimist, I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop.

(Kidding!)

Yay Armando y Stroogie! Income opportunities are awesome.

My excitement comes from a really cool activity spouse and I attended this evening. There was an public night at the local telescope with guided tours and neat talk about the hubble and the repairs that will happen in a few weeks. It was all pretty much all kinds of awesome.

Did you get to look through it? (And if so, what did you see? I wanna know!) I’ve always wanted to be able to look through one of those big telescopes. So many things I wish we puny humans could see that we won’t ever be able to. Just like Brother Cavil!

I tripped over the show LEXX. I do not think I ever seen the fist show.

It says it has happened before and it will happen again on the program LEXX.

I have recently actually started participating on Facebook & stumbled on to a bunch of people from high school that I haven’t seen since we graduated! As well as some people I’ve just simply lost touch with. I am getting together with a woman who another friend of mine & I were inseperable from all through high school. I can’t wait!

Shoes will always drop. But now maybe we have enough momentum to stay ahead of them (and possibly, money for new shoes).

In one of the telescopes I could see Saturn, and in the other telescope I saw the sombrero galaxy. It was pretty awesome, I’m not going to lie

I go thru phases on facebook where i will reconnect with tons of people then it hits a dry spell. I am actually meeting up with an old friend of mine from college on Sunday. Its also allowed me to reconnect with lots of my family who i had little contact with.

My mom just got facebook’d, and it’s a little weird.

I scored tons of free swag at Race for the Cure this morning. Some of my stuff: 2 Intuition razors and 18 blades, tons of Dove chocolate, a pint of ice cream, a cape, energizer bunny ears, 2 pairs of pink socks, 3 pink rubber duckies, and Energizer bunny ears. I hit every single booth.

My Little Sister (as in the organization Big Brothers, Little Sisters) gave me a Uhura action figure for my birthday because she knows I’m a geek, and we went out for pizza as an early celebration. Everything is wonderful today.

Several of my friends’ moms have joined Facebook, including my aunt (but not, fortunately, her sister/my own mom yet). What’s up with that?

You may be helping a future geek. She also could be a future geek appreciator. Whatever have a great geeky birthday. Your great to have a little sister.

I spent the day on the river. Did a bit of kaiaking and spending time with friends.

So our 3-year-old saw the commercials for Dora the Explorer Live. And she said she wanted to go. So it’s her birthday, OK, I score the tickets, we go.

It’s at a nice old-school type theater with the big chandliers, carpets, etc.

We get on the same block as the place, and she decides she doesn’t want to go in. We go in, and she doesn’t want to get anywhere near the seating section.

So I watch the first half with the older kid. Then I spend the second half out in the lobby with the 3 year old. We spend the whole time doing laps in the lobby, going up and down the staircases, etc.

It felt like we were playing Mystery of the Opera House for an hour. So, yeah, I missed Dora and Diego and Swiper, but it was still a cool little time.

That’s so sweet, I’m misting up.

Tell no one.

Today i won 1st prize at a piano competition, $450 prize!
