After the first day of March Madness, my bracket has only missed 1 game (Ill lost to W Ky by 4 pts). My dad lost 3 games. Bragging rights are mine until the end of tomorrow. Muahahahaha
As of today, I’m officially going to Comic-Con 2009… Woohoo! Got my 4 day pass and hotel room booked… BSG’s panel will sure to be fanfrakintastic.
I am now casilda, phd abd!
abd = all but dissertation
Graaaaats!
Congrats!
WOOT!!!
A very hearty congratulations. As someone who went through this process once upon a time, I know how much being ABD means and how hard it is. Congratulations. It’s all over but the shouting (and the hours of research and writing and re-writing and re-re-writing and re-re-re-writing…).
Yay for Phd (abd). I’ll drink a beer to your success tonight.
Provided I can jiggle some of my schedule around (and back out of 1 summer-time event!) I will be a volunteer at the 2009 PrimalQuest Eco Challenge in the Badlands/Black Hills of South Dakota. I have to decide by Friday at noon and unless I can’t get out of 1 event in July, I’m there! It’s going to be 13 days of sheer hell and I’m guessing I will love it!
The Black Hills of South Dakota? Can I call you “Rocky Raccoon?”
Oh hey–that check that I’ve been waiting for since October finally came. Guess who won’t have to get a trivial job this summer. Woot!
Doctor Casilda? Sounds good to me.
A pox on Trivial Jobs! Congrats!
You mean phd abd OG?
You are Fantastic.
I’m the Society of Women Engineers Vice President. w00t!!
Also, the crappy part of this week ended after the differential equations test, and I think I did good on it.
Congrats, AEG!
Or should I say, AEGcellent!
We’re designing an aquarium system as part of my biological engineering design studio. Today we were working on the waste treatment system. Our design has a ditch along the bottom that we decided to call the Poo Ditch, but then we classed it up by calling it the Pudichet.
My new t-shirt arrived today.
Who put that goat in there? That yellow goat I ate?
Very nice!
Link please – I think I just found my birthday present for myself.
I swear I posted something here about this, but I can’t seem to find it, so maybe I only posted it on twitter. I had a photo I took of the Liberty Bell shortlisted for inclusion in a guidebook for Philadelphia.
Today I got the notification that it was accepted! Yay!
This is the photo:
But…it’s broken!
(Congratulations, Rachel. Woo hoo!)
I’m done with hell week. Should be getting more sleep next week (you hear that, Elena? Keep sleeping through the night). Which means I should be able to hang out here a bit more again too.
