Cool craaaaaap you've acquired/done lately

If only spanish didnt count as a grade…

hahaha I’m with you.

I am sorry the teacher in me never stops. Someone in the hive mind might help you with the Spanish guys.

Which Spanish guys?

Spanish, guys. Pike do not be so picky. The guys are the gentleman who are having problems with Spanish grades. Some of the GWC folks know Spanish.

Anyway (lightening the mood) I started watching Bones and they are at a Fantasy con. Pike Bones is a TV show I am not making reference to any body parts.

Oh, OK. I was worried that there were swarthy, mustachioed guys hanging out in an alley somewhere.

Or Armando.

Actually, I wasn’t that worried about Armando.

They made a show about McCoy?! Ossim!

Pike sometimes you are hopeless. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh on said show a character is in a Star Trek red shirt. He ended up getting hurt in a car accident.

Ay chiquillos estan en una edad en que se dedica a aprender y deben aprovecharse de las oportunidades que se les presentan.Y la Leah tiene razon al sugerir que nosotros aca del GWC podemos tener conocimiento en el castellano. /castellano.

Seriously guys, I know some people find foreign languages difficult, but Spanish is a) useful b) beautiful c) much more than just a grade.

OMFG PADME SPEAKS ESPANOL. ll i would put the tilde but i dont have that on my keyboard.

It’s easier oñ a Mac.

Claro que hablo castellano

No worries on the tilde, let’s not note how the only program in which I can just type them is Word because I refuse to change my keyboard and confuse myself when looking for parentheses… :stuck_out_tongue:

Hahaha. You see this is just why I love this forum. Everyones friendly, making jokes. It’s such a great awsome thing going on ya know?

Aren’t I the ONLY composer you know?

If you can get me a pdf scan or print out of your work or a Finale 2006 or lower (I just couldn’t bring myself to upgrade yet) file of it, I’d be happy to take a look.

The melody is the most important part, IMO. If you can work your melodic material to a place where you’re happy with it, the rest of the work will be smoother. One hint: just because you have your melody sketched out just the way you like it doesn’t mean that you have to use it JUST that way in the final piece. I do a lot of changing while I’m working on the score and end up using my melodic sketches more as road maps for the piece than as an actual short score of it that must be blown up into full score (though I think this is an idiosincracy limited to me, as I’ve never met another composer who works this way without being full blown minimalists).

How many percussionists? Playing keyboards, drums or, more likely, a combination of the two. (By the way, my piano and percussion ensemble piece is now up on my Reverb Nation page, if you’re curious.)

Anyway, PM me either here or on Facebook and we can chat. I’d love to see what you’re up to.

You should be. MWAHAAAHAA!

That it is. Jodia’ laptop sin “number pad”!

That is SO cool Armando, you deserve it and the gods know it’s been way too long coming.

Interesting- I don’t do well with laptops. Love my trusty PC. The only time I use my laptop is when I go away to rural Australia where you only get crappy rural TV and then I use it to watch my DVDs

Hey everyone.

I’m a bit new to posting here, but I have something I’d like to share, if you’re interested.

Last year, in the midst of my epic BSG binge, a friend of mine and I started a creative writing e-zine centered around a shared character who dies in every story.

In our second issue, Jim (my co-editor) and I sprinkled our stories with BSG in jokes and homages (I prefer that term in lieu of outright theft), and I’m feeling the need to share with my fellow geeks.

If you’d like to read it, send me a message with your e-mail address and I can ship the PDF to you (I promise, no spam will come your way from us).

I love laptops since sitting at a desk is not my thing.

I got my BSG dog tags today!!!

Woooooot!!

I finally bought an iPod. And managed to sync it and use it without looking at the destruction manual/quickstart. Wheee!
