Sean, beautiful paint job on the model. It’s been a long time since I did a model. Maybe when life calms down in two or three years, I may do another one.
So our California trip was AWESOME. We had the best time.
Unfortunately we just got adjusted to PST in time to return to EST… my body’s not happy about that. But man, great trip. A vacation, I might even call it. In February! As an academic this just feels wrong, but in all the right ways, hehe.
Way to go, Casilda! Soak in those rays. You’ll need 'em till spring.
Meanwhile, I just put the pieces together and realized that one of my regulars at the bagel shop is the owner of a production studio down the road that I recently sent my resume and demo reel to. I hope he comes in tomorrow, so I can officially introduce myself.
I just placed my Amazon order for Dr. Horrible. It should be here in a matter of days. I hope by the weekend if not early next week
Make sure to listen to the Musical commentary.
Thats what i am getting it for. i heard clips of it on NPR and cant wait to watch it.
Work that network, Stroogie! Good luck.
Thanks man Haven’t tried the diorama scene yet however it sounds like it would be fun. But Battle damage is totally on the list!
Thot, you rock man, I’ll totally check it out! I love anything with Tanks in it. If you do too you ought to check out the Bolo series. Books about giant self aware tanks in the future. Booyah!
Thanks Sean! The Bolo series sounds like a good book choice to take on vacation with me.
I think of my mother’s uncle, who had a WWII Hummer in his garage, just cause he liked it. It had a machine gun mounted on it. This was all well and good until it was stolen.
You mean a Jeep? (Rat Patrol style, I take it.)
Yes. Indeed. You can see that I am no miltary vehicle afficionado.
I so wish I had a machine gun mounted on my car some mornings. That thing would come in so handy in this town!
So my grad school roommate and his wife (both podcast listeners but forum non-readers, frakkers!) have been fighting cancer in their one year old since last fall. Today she posted on Facebook that little David’s most recent scan came back with no trace of disease.
That is the most awesome news I’ve heard all day!
That is so cool. Congrats to them
A-maze-ing!
I’ve had to deal with sickness in the XO in the past, but in a little one…
I am so happy for them all.
Before any WWII buffs start pointing out that there were no African-Core German tanks that wore this color scheme (normally sporting mustard and green or grey) I must warn you I’m not a rivet counter. Historic accuracy isn’t really my bag. I’m just into the tanks themselves.
<_< I was totally gonna say something along those lines. Model rocks though
I may FINALLY be getting the big commission money I’ve been waiting for since October. I was asked for my mailing address and soc. by the organization who commissioned me today, which is a good sign. Here’s hoping…
Its kind sad that Facebook told you, but that is still some awesome news.
