Cool craaaaaap you've acquired/done lately

Congrats Glim! Now you just need a laptop and wifi so you can join in the frak parties!

We bought tickets to go to a surprise birthday thing for my best friend in February. This is very very exciting!!

We got holiday pay last week which I forgot about, so my paycheck was nicely padded. So even though I lost my ipod, I might just be able to afford a nano. Without the overtime there was no way.

(I will be positive I will be positive I will be positive)

For Christmas, my wife purchased the new Star Trek ornament. It’s a Communicator.

She wanted to put it on the tree. I said, “No way. I’m taking this everywhere with me.” I use it everywhere I go. It makes the chirping sound when you open it and has several sound bytes from the show. My favorite is Kirk saying, “Forget about me. Protect my ship!!” (from ‘Tholian Web’ megeek) I do my best Shatner impersonation every time.

Wow. I much as love ya, 'Talos. If we met face to face right now, I would totally Finnegan you upside the head and steal that communicator from you.
That is AWESOME!

My favorite Trek ornament: A Shuttle Craft that when you press the button says, in Leonard Nimoy’s voice “Shuttle Craft to Enterprise, shuttlecraft to Enterprise. Spock here. Happy Holidays”.
I had in on the tree at my parents house when I was a kid (and older) and now, it’s been on my tree every year and the kids love pressing the button.

Isn’t it amazing how that thing still works after all these years. You forgot the Live Long and Prosper he throws on the end of it.

Oh yeah! We would so have a Finnegan vs. Kirk fight. I can hear the Gaelic music now. Ripped shirts and all!

Wow! So many good things have happened in the last 24 hours!

I just found out that my uncle, who got “permanently” laid off last month, got called back to his job.

My sister, who has been looking for a job for several months now, got a job offer today, and has another interview on Monday.

My grandma got released from the hospital yesterday. She went to a rehab center, not home, but at least this means they’re not sending her home in a state where she’s unable to fully take care of herself. And she was able to get a private room!

Now, I’m hoping the good luck continues and we don’t get buried under snow in the next 24 hrs, and that I don’t get called into work this weekend (I’m on call) and can just rest and get over this cold!

I’m not sure how any of that can possibly compare to the coolness of "Talos’s new communicator.

I kid. I kid. I kid.

That’s great to here of people actually getting jobs, not losing them these days. They’re announcing layoffs at my wife’s company next week. We’ll see…

Dude, Awesome times for you.

Know what? I’m passing my good luck on to you. It’s yours!

Yes sir, indeed.

Duh-Duh-DUH-Duh-Duh DUH-DUH-DUHHHHH!

Don’t forget the trickle of blood at the corner of the mouth.

Oh it’s on!!

Hubby found my iPod!!! I swear I looked where he did, but somehow I missed it completely. does the Dance of Joy

I am so happy for you.

Woo hoo! The Lords of Kobol smile on you, Rosaleen. Woot!

Oh, it’s on all right girlfriend.

And you can put away those weapons. It’s a dance off, fool.

I just acquired my 2009 BSG wall callender at a 50% discount.

Oooooh! Where, might I ask? (mostly because I need a 2009 calendar for the kitchen…)

I am keeping up with a picture a day.

Me too! Seven days in a row!!
