Cool craaaaaap you've acquired/done lately

I am listening to Armando’s music. Really cool. :D:)

:o

Flattery will get you nowhere, my dear. :o

(Thanks.)

I was wondering around iTunes trying to type the info in on the tracks. I have not put the visualizer on in a long time. Wow your music is really pretty with the new visualizer.

When a statement is true is it flattery?

OOOps questions again.

Wasn’t sure what thread to say this in, but I decided to put myself in the shoes of a school kid and say it’s a good thing:

Short school week this week. Mon, Tues, Wed was no school cuz of the ice storm damage, and today it’s a 1/2 day cuz of a coming snow storm.
Nice thing about the school closings on Mon thru Wed is that, because it was an official “State of Emergency” the school can petition to not have to make up the days at the end of the year.

EDIT: accidental double posting. Shouldn’t have hit that back arrow on the browser.

HOORAY! Wow, I can’t imagine the torture you would have faced. The only thing worse would be Rod Stewart.

Well how’s that for perspective. XBox + HDTV = !!! = new trash can. I am amused.

I got the Watchmen book. I can not remember if I posted that. I think I will go into a real hot tub and read it. The first page was not happy (dog) but I think I will manage to finish it before the movie comes out. I forgot when does it come out?

Even if you don’t get the chance to see the movie, reading the book is totally worth it (don’t forget to read the non-comic parts too. They add a lot to the story. I made the mistake of skipping them the first time I read the comic). It’s not just a landmark in comic book history, it’s a fine bit of writing in general.

Yay! I got it too, as a Christmas present. I read it earlier this year, and I loved it.

I am almost done with my syllabus for the Spring… one less thing to do!

I lusted after that in the book shop. I’m very jealous

Flying home today after four days in the frozen tundras of central Indiana. Recording session’s done and now I have to wait for the final mix, then sit back and wait (possibly years) till the director of the group that recorded my piece gets a record label to pick up the disc.

Man, I hope you had something good to read or listen to. I just spent 2+ hours in traffic for what should have been a 45-minute drive. Thank Jah I’m behind on GWC. That helped catch up.

Good luck on the recording… Is the classical/instrumental side of the recording industry as fugazi as the pop side?

I got Bacon shaped band-aids from my sister as a gift.

If I’ve got some extra cash after christmas and birthday roll around I’m gonna pick up the ubar super amazin edition of Watchment.

And a dictionary…or spellcheck…or something…

Today’s packages included this. The Hubs ordered it. It’s his way of improving our videoing the kids. It’s about the size of my compact digital camera, so tiny. It will fit in his pocket and will store about 60 minutes at at time, but is not expandable (the drawback I see, in terms of taking it on vacay). Still, it looks like a fun little toy.

If by “fugazi” you mean that it basically doesn’t exist and is essentially reduced to a vanity industry, then yes.

But hey, I didn’t pay for this session, so it’s no skin off my back.

I did get delayed at the Indianapolis airport for almost two hours (and was annoyed that there were no cheap restaurants beyond security, so I had to have a $14 club sandwich with fries at Wolfgang Puck when I could’ve had that, even for overpriced airport food, at the McDonald’s outside security for half that amount). I did, however, have my book with me, Wally Lamb’s “I Know This Much is True,” which is really difficult to put down, so it wasn’t too much trouble.

(Even though the gate was right next to the moving walkway’s speaker repeating “the walkway is coming to an end, please watch your step” every four seconds or so. That was fun!)

Literally: “Crazy”

So, yes.

Yep. That about sums it up. Either that, or “nonexistent.” Although in many ways, things are also more interesting too.
