Halfway to OG!

Halfway to OG!
(You’ll probably do the other half in a couple weeks.)
I accept your challenge sirrah!
TO THE INTERWEB!
well nothing physical but…as of 4:30pm I started my mini vacation of not having to go back to work until Thursday of next week!!!
When did I miss that you have students? Great
When I was too busy prepping to post an update on enrollment. Both of my classes are overbooked and the first week of the school year went swimmingly. I think this year will go better than last (in no small part thanks to having a friend assuming the chairmanship of my department and having two advanced classes, which I guess, as my colleagues kept telling me last year–and apparently was my reputation, who knew?–are my specialty).
That is wonderful! My classes are doing well.
Being over booked and all is a sign that the students like you, want to take courses you offer, and that you’re good at you job. That, of course, mean the envy and jealousy of your peers follow you around like the punishment of a good deed.
Anyway, congratulations on busy at something you enjoy
I just got a terabtye hard drive. This make me very very happy.
I went to a middle eastern theme dinner last night at my friends’ place where we bought our own food for others to try (I bought stuff from a restaurant since I don’t cook). Anyway, one is a college friend and he recently built a new PC. He offered to give me the mobo, cpu (quad E6700), and ram (4gb) from his old setup for free. (:
May seem old, but I currently have a 7-9 year old AGP, ISA Pentium 6 system (yes, I still use it) and a newer 3 year old Core 2 Duo system. I’d really like to upgrade the Pentium system. d:
Unfortunately, I think I may dish out $300 on a video card, case, etc., but still. d:
Your porn addiction has gone to far:D
Armando and Leah,
No, no one got it. I had to explain it. It was sad that I had to explain it, but I felt good enough for the original thought that the explanation was worth it.
The GWC Forums Rock.
The sad thing is that I’ll have filled the drive up before the end of this semester.
That is why we get along so well. We understand each others jokes.
It is cool that no one had a B&M post in days.
Turns out the mobo is the same generation as my current main PC, but the CPU and RAM are still a step up. So, I won’t dish out $300 after all.
Just got a Facebook Friend request from “Dusan Strugar.” I get a lot of requests from people with my last name, since it’s pretty certain we’re related, and I always say yes. But this guy I actually recognized. If you read his IMDB page, you’ll see that he’s a special effects artist with experience at, yes, JIM HENSON CREATURE SHOP. I asked him if he was the Dusan I was familiar with, and he confirmed. “Let’s keep this conversation going,” he said, actually.
Made my frakkin’ day.
WoOt!
I love those. I’ve been getting those kinds of friend requests/conversations from musicians I’ve admired for a while. Feels good, doesn’t it?
It’s three weeks into the semester, and no one in my three classes has asked about the final yet. That’s a record. Yay!
I “acquired” some time with my nieces and nephew this past weekend. Aren’t they so cute.
Absolutely adorable! I can’t believe how big the twins are now, Auntie Splatt!
I was just about to write, “are those the twins?” Holy craaaaaaap! Those kiddies have grown. hooray!
