CAPRICA is likely to air THIS FALL
Forgive me if this piece of news has already been posted elsewhere, but I haven’t seen it anywhere.
Well, well, well. Anybody care to wager that “clues” to the resolutions of an issue or two in BSG will be found in Caprica?
I’d bet some money on that. Mabye they’ve written themselves into a corner, maybe not, either way, Caprica in fall 2008 gives them “three chances” to provide us with more background info which BSG can then tap into.
Three because io9 says that Skiffy has ordered a miniseries plus two additional episodes - which says a lot about the faith they’re putting into Caprica.
I’d have faith in it too, if I were airing it before BSG concludes AND it contains info pertinent to the conclusion(s) of BSG. This may be the first smart thing that Skiffy has ever done - other than deciding to air BSG in the first place.
I read about Caprica last night on SITREP. I’m not surprised we are getting the pilot in the fall. My feeling is that they will pimp the show out as A BSG tie in along with the webisodes to get fans interested for the final ten episodes. Pretty much like how they released Razor and the Flashbacks. I for one am glad. I hope we get the full on series.
Same here. In a sense the Caprica episodes that air before BSG resumes will be as much flashbacks as a prequel. Just think of the threads to come.
