X-Men Frak Party

Different parts of the brain store different memories. I’ve worked with lots of people with brain damage. Some things are completely wiped out. Others barely change.

Generally, two bullets to brain will damage, you know, all of it. Also, since we didn’t see them exit, it’s safe to assume they just bounced around in there until the kinetic energy was spent. His brain would be literally scrambled.

Public hologram show. Way to be discreet.

Unlike a normal human brain, his would be healing while bullet is passing through it. It would minimize damage somewhat. And again, the brain isn’t a hard drive. Memories aren’t stored in linear patterns in specific spots.

NOOOOOOOO!!!

Healing wouldn’t really be a factor, as the bullets would be richocheting around in there anyway. And a bullet doesn’t have to touch part of the brain to damage it.

Passage of a bullet can cause laceration (tearing) injuries to the brain, as well as shock waves with cavitation (temporary stretching). A bullet passing through the brain creates a brief wave effect in the tissue leading to rapidly alternating expansion and contraction of the tissue. This creates an area of disrupted tissue surrounding the path of the bullet. The area of disrupted tissue can be as much as 30 times larger than the missile diameter and can cause injury to parts of the brain a considerable distance from the actual bullet path. Sometimes there are multiple paths of injury in the brain caused by a bullet fragmenting after entering the brain.

And healing would make matters worse, since the ruptured blood vessels would cause pressure to build up with nowhere to go. And Wolverine still bleeds.

All that’s true. OTOH, 1) The bullet would significantly slowed by breaching the adamantium, 2) There’s really no way to know how it would affect a mutant brain with such rapid healing, and 3) It’s a ludicrous circumstance that’s probably impossible using internally consistent in-universe logic.

All I’m saying is, healing factor or no, if you take two high-caliber adamantium bullets in your adamantium skull - assuming they can get in, that is - you’re a vegetable.

I disagree. Personally, imagine his brain his brain would be returned to OEM state. He’d essentially be a newborn in an adult body.

Well, yes and no. Adult brains and infant brains are completely different. There would be no OS. He could function autonomically - breath and whatnot - but walking and language would definitely be out. He be like that guy in X3, the man with no consciousness of his own.

Again, this a ridiculous debate to have, but if we assume the bullets (entry point was forehead) only damaged his frontal lobes and nowhere else due to loss of velocity and his healing factor, it wouldn’t account for his memory loss but would explain some of Wolverine’s other personality traits.

From Wikipedia:

Damage to the frontal lobes can lead to a variety of results:

[ul]
[li] Mental flexibility and spontaneity are impaired, but IQ is not reduced.[/li][li] Talking may increase or decrease dramatically.[/li][li] Perceptions regarding risk-taking and rule-abiding are impaired.[/li][li] Socialization can diminish or increase.[/li][li] Orbital frontal lobe damage can result in peculiar sexual habits.[/li][li] Dorsolateral frontal lobe damage reduces sexual interest.[/li][li] Creativity is diminished or increased as well as problem solving skills.[/li][li] Distraction occurs more frequently.[/li][li] Loss of smell and/or taste.[/li][/ul]

Borg-Forge!

Their only weakness: being cut in half.

I guess Master Mold was never programmed to understand eavesdropping. Or whispering.

And because I was totally joking, we’ll postpone until next week.
