I know there isnt much evidence (yet :)), but he is named Daniel and he was a cylon prisoner before the Cylon attacks.

sorry but im beyond confused with all the new info from just now…so haven’t they talked about a 7 in the series before? if so who or how have they numbered all the cylons but not daniel?
oh or is it the not final 5’s are numbered 1 2 3 4 5 6 8?
Seven was the one model number that was missing, in the S7 Models so far… Most thought it was an RDM brainfart – that it was a writer’s error, and that they just screwed up, and forgot to mention a 7 model when they were numbering the Cylons, but apparently not… Daniel is now Cylon #7… nice, gotta give it to him, for throwing us off.
They have never talked of 7’s before.
I assume Cavil kept his actions secret and if anyone asked about 7’s would say they were inherently defective and say they werent finished or something.

No, I am simply throwing his hat into the ring, considering his name is Daniel and hes an established character, it would be reasonable to also theorize him to be the Daniel Ellen spoke of.
I didn’t even vote in the Poll, cause I can’t decide if Daniel was Bulldog or Kara’s dad (or Kara herself, for that matter)… but now I’m wondering… could it be possible?

Yeah, I’m with you my brain kinds of hurt after tonight. I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer anyway. Then again I had a couple of glasses of Merlot with dinner when I was watching so i’m sure that did not help. Thank god I DVR’d it so I can do some rewatching later.
it’s tough, but i wonder if the head six is baltar’s warning sign. i could be wrong, and a link to starbuck would work nicely, but baltar is a clean fit, too.
it’s difficult to discount kara because she so obviously plays a big role in what happens, and her resurrection by cavil would make perfect sense in context, but head six lines up well with the idea of signs, though kara’s always seen that image, ever since youth.
The Daniel escapes Cavil’s fratricide with Ellen’s or maybe Sharon’s help, since Sharon seems to buck authority at the blink of an eye, kinda has a history. Goes to the colonies and father’s Kara, first hylon. Kara’s dead body gets caught up in the resurrection stuff on earth spits her out with a new viper, eazy peazey. It’s the dad, though I would like to see Bulldog again.
Might be also important note that in the new series Caprica, the main character (alongside Adama Sr) is called Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz).
Joseph Adam(a) is a big shot civil rights attorney. We knew this already as Grandpa-Adama was referenced numerous times in the third season of BSG. He’s a married man with a daughter named Tamara as well as a son (9-year-old Bill “future admiral of Galactica” Adama). Daniel Graystone is the head of the Graystones family and a computer genius. He’s married to Amanda (that’s “Adama” backwards minus the n but I don’t think that’s relevant) and fathers a daughter named Zoe. Unfortunately, Zoe’s boyfriend is a religious fanatic who ends up blowing up a bunch of people, Mrs. Adama, daughter Tamara Adama and Zoe included.
So, maybe this Daniel is that Daniel from Earth, and perhaps he fathered Starbuck?
PS: On a second thought, there is a generational gap here to let Daniel be Starbuck’s father, since he is contemporary to a child Bill Adama. But still, I find the reocurrence of the name “Daniel” intriguing, doesn’t sound like pure coincidence.
I like the Starbucks dad idea. I am going with that.
