yea… worm… holes… Galaxy Ranger…any comment?:p:eek:
So you’re talking actual holes created by actual worms ??
Hmm.
sorry guys, how do i add one more option to the poll?
What, no love for Wormhole Extreme?
I came here to post that!
wormhole extreme is a sci-fi show set within a sci-fi show… no count!
I voted SG1. I would have voted for Dune the books but the movies were not up to the books.
I loved the movie!
Baltar’s a worm. I vote Baltar.
How did ST:DS9 get excluded from this?
Agree. I write in DS9.
What no Farscape option?
Holy craaaap! Yeah, how could we forget Farscape???
Good question. Before even clicking on this thread, I was thinking “Oh, this must be DS9 vs. something else.”
My vote goes to SciFi channel Dune. I’ve never seen the Stargate TV shows and I never plan to.
The first Tremors movie was very clever, I thot.
Great stuff! Moved to correct forum.
Why not?
Baltar
I had no idea there was such a plethora of wormholes on tv! I assumed that DS9 wasn’t there since it would so obviously sweep- and thus voted SG1, which is a distant second, really.
I’ll echo that DS9 is the royalty of shows featuring wormholes. I do like the Dune ones though, despite their very different nature from the awesome DS9 wormhole.
SG1 is the single biggest reason I got into scifi
From what I know about it (Stargate), it doesn’t make the list of shows I’d want to spend time watching. My TV tastes nowadays run to the extreme of complex plots, deep characters—Mad Men, Weeds, Rome, Deadwood, BSG, Heroes. Stargate doesn’t seem within a 100 parsecs of that sort of benchmark.
And then there’s other things I’ll like to do like catch up on my Dr. Who and check out Torchwood, Buffy the V.Slayer and Space Above and Beyond.
I’ve heard a couple cracks Ron Moore (in his podcast) has made about Stargate that reinforces to be the notion that it’s pretty simplistic.
But hey, maybe I’m missing out, who knows.
What do you like about Stargate, Steve? Am I missing out?
