Which comic book universe would you want to live in?

So, I was docked in EVE and comics came up. I asked this question and have no idea which universe I’d choose. If I were in DC, I feel I’d have been blown up (and possibly revived later) in Coast City. If I were in Marvel, I’d prolly been one of the random casualties in one of their annual cross overs like World War Hulk.

So, I put it to the community. Which of the two (yes, I know there are others) universes would you pick to live in if you could? And more importantly, why?

No, you can’t be a mutant because of House of M and all… I say that because that’s what someone in EVE chat said. d:

I’m voting Marvel for the only reason that the DC Universe as live at least for ‘‘Crisis’’, ( 2-Earth, Zero hour, Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis) witch are basically apocalipse, in my life time.

Ok living downtown in the Marvel Universe as it’s dangers. Let’s say you’re watching Tv and a superhero pass trough your living room every weeks, insurance gets pricy!!

From what I remember, their universe isn’t too good for the common folk…

Id say Marvel as well. Though I like DC…I like the Marvel heroes a little better.

But not the Marvel Ultimate Universe…that’s a little too intense and they actually kill folks off. Not Comic book kill folks off…they actually kill folks off.

Pretty much if you live anywhere other than New York City in Marvel you’re fine 99.5% of the time so yeah Marvel. Plus Stark Enterprise is like mad close to where I live

Really? I don’t follow Marvel much, but isn’t anywhere the Hulk(s) go is an insurance claim nightmare?

Hulk hangs out either in the desert of the south west the wilderness of Canada for the most part lol. Or he’s destroying New York.

I voted Baltar. Terrorists are scary but the Marvel/DC universes are on the brink of total annihilation every other week! Can you imagine the quantity of anti-anxiety meds used by the general public in any given week?! It must be an astronomical amount.

I voted Baltar simply because I prefer Dark Horse, the company that brought you the “Aliens” comics. There aren’t any real heores with super powers in that story, so if I got my hands on a pulse rifle with an underslung grenade launcher and then duct-tape a flamethrower to it, I could be the superhero.

Otherwise I would have voted Marvel for Ghost Rider. How cool would it be to open up the morning paper and read a story about him!?!?

Definitely Marvel. As we all know now from Incredible Hercules, the afterlife is a giant casino I will have a reasonable chance of coming back from :stuck_out_tongue:

Buffy - Which means there’s probably an Angel comic in there somewhere too. Can you imagine Cordelia drawn? I’ll be in my bunk!)
Star Wars - I think Star Wars was a DC title long, long ago though. I’d have to check my collection and I really don’t feel like it right now.

well here’s the thing, both with marvel and DC you live with constant fear of death by apocalyptic godlike forces or you know worse like Iron man or bat man coming to get you. so it boils to something a little more primal.

But only if it can be Metropolis in the 31st Century, that way I have the super cool Legion of Super Heroes upside down rocket ship headquarters in the skyline and the United Planets Building and I’m really not winning any converts here, am I?

voted baltar. When he was president, he had everyone on his side (including the only military). He also had god on his side. I would also like to point out that no one could harm that sly dog. He ALWAYS found a way to avoid getting in trouble/blamed.
