The Forum has a minimum 10 character post requirement. During the BSG run, Baltar became the extension if you posted something with less than 10 characters. People tend to use many different creative approaches. Before Baltar, Pike used numbers (i.e. 7890).
In the context of polls, “Baltar” has become the “Other/None of the Above” option.

Aha, brilliant. Thank you, that explains a lot. In one of the other polls I actually thought it meant that it meant that BSG’s Gaius Baltar (thanks, Google!) was the third contestant in the deathmatch.

Call me weird but I am leaning toward the Image comicbook universe, Youngblood, Wildcats, GEN 13… etc. Or even Dark Horse, if it were the Buffyverse!
