What movie/TV series to watch?

Since I’ve found some time now, please support me in my choice what movie or TV series I should watch next. Fast responses would be appreciated since I want to watch (or start watching with the series) in about an hour.

Farscape, Dexter, True Blood, Babylon 5, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Life of Brian, The Meaning of Life…

That oughta keep you busy.

Ever seen Equilibrium? (movie)

Yes, but only i school about 6 years ago and it wasn’t the hole movie. Plus I didn’t paid full attention.
Funny that you mentioned it, because I’ve got it in my “cue” as well.
Have only remembered parts of it.

Watch Dexter, it’s awesome. One of my all time favourite TV shows. I love the dark humour. I can’t wait for season 5.

So you have never seen Blade Runner?

Which version do you have available?

Blade Runner is my favorite movie.

Hot Fuzz is HILARIOUS. I love those guys. Ever seen “Shaun of the Dead” ? (same guys)

Cant go wrong with “From Dusk Till Dawn” if you are in the mood for foul language and action.

Blade Runner is more of a drama. It is philosophical really. Thought provoking. Makes you ask questions instead of answering questions. Not you typical action sci-fi. Might want to think about watching the documentary “Dangerous Days” that comes with the Final Cut DVD/Blu-ray (if you have it). It’s an awesome insight into how much work goes into making this movie (any more for that matter). Very interesting.

I vote you watch Hot Fuzz now, and Blade Runner tonight. It’s a noir film. Just feels better watching it in the evening. (Yes, I am weird)

Nope, that classic somehow didn’t find it’s way to me. Have the Director’s cut.

Nope, Simon Pegg wasn’t a familiar face since the last Trek movie.
And take into account, I’m 6 hours in front of EST.

I am not sure what you have and have not seen,

  1. Firefly (mandatory, if you have not seen it. )

  2. Being Human (BBC)

  3. survivors (BBC)

  4. Demons (BBC)

  5. M.A.S.H. (just cause, it’s MASH )

let us know what you end up watching.

Directors Cut of Blade Runner is almost as good as the Final Cut. Both much better than the original theatrical release, although I still watch that every now and then because sometimes I am in the mood for the voiceover narration that everyone else hates.

I cant see anyone not liking Hot Fuzz or Shaun of the Dead.

Yeah, it definitely will.

Firefly of course, but only last year.

Hmm, strange that my poll that I’ve added to this thread got split into a new topic.

Damm, just when I was about to choose, there is again a tie now!!

I voted for Hot Fuzz and support the overall Simon Peggverse (Spaced, Shawn, Hot Fuzz).

As they are not on your list I assume you have already seen:
[ul]
[li]Venture Brothers[/li][li]Flight of the Conchords[/li][li]Harvey Birdman[/li][li]Big Bang Theory[/li][li]Life on Mars (UK)[/li][li]The IT Crowd[/li][/ul]

Are you looking for strictly Science Fiction/Fantasy??
The 4400
LOST
Vampire Diaries
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
Firefly
Wonderfalls
Doctor Who
Torchwood
Supernatural

If you are looking for other types of TV:
The West Wing
Veronica Mars
Alias
Bones
Deadwood

Just to name a few.

I can vote for Hot Fuzz ONLY if you’ve seen Point Break.

Agreed. Also seeing Bad Boys II helps.
…I merged the two identical threads into one, FYI.

No, only the Summer Glau scene on BBT.
Since I’m not from North America, so much stuff I’ve never heard about or never gotten my hands on it.
Thx

Thanks for the few. Well, at least Alias, Lost, and Firefly I can strike off the list.

Also with Simon Pegg?

Muchas Gracias.

Found Bad Boys I better than it’s Sequel though.

Ok, Judgement call since the tie.

Am gonna to watch Dexter now and Blade Runner the next time my brain is capable for some thot provoking (new word creation??) stuff.

Chuck and Scrubs.

done and up until the switch over to ABC

Was weird to see Harry Tang on Dexter.
