What is your favorite Star Ship?

What is your favorite Star Ship ( use the term generaly… not to only include large cruisers as early use of the term “Starship” suggests) to appear in TOS, TNG, Ds9, Voy, ENT or Star Trek movies? ( that’s right , no FASA or SF battles)?

For me… I know it’s cheesey… but I like the movie era Constitution class Enterprise. (1701-1701-a)

Oh come ON!

Dreadnoughts FTFW!

I like the Excelsior class—especially the Enterprise-B version.

it’s all about the warship voyager from the “Living Witness” episode. Can’t find a good pic of it though. :frowning:

I don’t mean to be a nit (oh who I’m kiddin’. Of course I do).
And I’m sure we’ve had this discussion before, but the NCC-1701 was Constitution class, but when it got refited for Star Trek The Motiion Picture it then became Enterprise class.

Me, I gotta proclaim my first love as my fav: TOS Enterprise with the round sexy nacelles.

Best I could do for ya.

It’s all about the ol’ girl for me, as well.

Aww…Beeeautiful.
I’ll be in my bunk. Wait, that’s not weird is it? :o

Federation : Gagarin or Oberth class science vessel. I just like the design is all.

Other : D’deridex (Romulan battle cruise from TNG)

The Akira class is a beauty, it is what inspired the NX 01 design for Enterprise-

The Titan, from the Star Trek book series of the same name is pretty cool too-

Miranda Class. If I lived in the TNG era and could pick one of these up at Ye Olde Surplus Yard, I’d have that baby in a second. Pop a modernized warp core in, upgrade the computers, get a nice Holodeck installed… oh yeah, this is the ship for me.

Oh yeah, they are sweeeet!

Wrong. That explanation was the “fasa” explanation, not cannon.

The term Constitution Class was first written to describe the Enterprise refit in Gene Roddenberry’s novilazation ot ST: TMP. In Star Trek 6 Scotty’s deck plans of the 1701-A clearly show that it is still a Constitution class cruiser. ( see the part where they are in the TNG style briefing room and scotty gets hot and finds the cloths in the vent, he is drinking coffee looking at the blueprints there)

I remeber that because I was an avid FASA player and that pissed me off to no end!

Over-powered and over-gunned, like any worthy starship.

Totally agree.

(Please accept this in a friendliest people in SciFi way  ). No no no. Screw that. I don’t accept that just cuz it was in a movie makes it cannon. Do you really think there was any consistency in the movies? Even the show(s) contradict themseleves all the time. Cannon is crap.

And I can tell your a youngin’ cuz you think the Constitution class tern was first introduced in the Roddenberry novel of ST The Motiion Picture.

I got my USS. Enterprise (Constitution class) Deck Plans ride beside me here and they were published on April 12, 1974 (Or Stardate 7404.12 as we Trekperts like to say).

And don’t you dare tell me my deck plans aren’t cannon or I’ll beam over there and kick your Tholian SorryBarb seven days past sunday.

Your talking to a guy who as a 9 year old boy had hand traced drawings of Constitution class NCC-1701 the I made all over my bedroom (I am such a geek).

(Ahh,… felt good to get that off my chest).

At the time, they were canon. GR disowned them after a copyright dispute with FJS.

Why did Galaxy Ranger get into a copyright dispute with Franz Joseph Designs Inc.?

You don’t want to know…

I’'m guessing cuz of those sexy 7.6 cm measurements on the uniform drawings in the Franz Joseph Star Fleet Tech Manual (and those hot looking Tricorder drawings)

Next you’re going to tell me that Matt Jefferies’ blueprints featuring the bowling alley at the bottom of the secondary hull aren’t canon, right?

STARFLEET NEEDS BOWLING. It’s valuable practice for loading cannonballs, and you never know when you’re going for find yourself teamed up with Abraham Lincoln or in some sort of Q-civil war.
