“Oh, Blanche? Did you know we have rats in the cellar?”
I’m looking forward to this. Two siblings tormenting and trying to kill each other. Reminds me of my youth. Ah memories.
One time my sister tried to put me through our upstairs foyer window. She would have succeeded if it wasn’t for old style wood moulding, my pant leg caught on the corner and held me dangling. She eventually regained her senses and helped me back in. She wailed, “Daddy’s gonna kill me. I broke the window.” I consoled her and told her I would take the blame.
Another time she attacked me with a baseball bat. She swung and grazed my left temple impacting with my bedroom doorway. Then she repositioned into a stabbing motion and tried to bludgeon my head. I ducked and the bat went through the drywall. Once again she wailed, “Daddy’s gonna kill me. I broke the wall.” Once again I consoled her and told her I would take the blame.
Several years later, when I brought home my first paycheck my dad said, “I’ll take that. You still owe me for all the damage you’ve done to this house.” He continued to take every check I earned from that summer job.
Actually, the torment’s pretty unidirectional. OTOH, there’s plenty to go around.

Wow. My relationship with my sister was… different.
Yeah. I remember reading those Bible stories about Cain and Abel, Joseph and his brothers, Esau and Isaac and think, “I hope my sister doesn’t read this.”
I remember pulling a knife on my older brother. I was about 8 at the time. Ah, sweet family life…
I cheated and watched the first few minutes of this. At first I thot Baby Jane and Blanche’s mommy was Agnes Moorehead (Charles Foster Kane’s mommy). I was wrong Mommy Hudson was played by Anne Barton. But in my research I found out that Agnes Moorehead also played Samantha Stephens’ mommy (Endora) in Bewitched. I also found this little tidbit:
Hush… Hush, Sweet Charlotte (1964) was Robert Aldrich’s follow-up to What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, in which he planned to reunite Davis and Crawford, but when Crawford withdrew allegedly due to illness soon after filming began, she was replaced by Olivia de Havilland. The film was a considerable success and brought renewed attention to its veteran cast, which also included Joseph Cotten, Mary Astor and Agnes Moorehead.
What a ride.
More sibling fun:
My sister may have at times wanted to kill me but she was also ferociously loyal. One time, I got into a fight with an older kid in the school yard. My sister (2 years younger than me) saw the fight, rushed over and punched the older boy right in the mouth and landed him on his arse.
From that day on, no one laid a hand on me.
You know something I noticed today…I am now the only OG* around. The mods have new titles and I am left alone in OG* land. pout
I knew she played Endora, but I completely missed that the actress in Kane was the same person. Neat.

I haven’t watched that one, but a friend highly recommends it. I’m thinking it’s going to have to go on the list.
I had a similar, if less overtly violent, relationship with my little sister. Basically, no one better make fun of her. That’s my job.
Yeah, I noticed that a couple days ago. Not sure if the Moderator tag is going to remain after the names change again. I can see that a both a positive and a negative.
And we’re on…
This is such a disturbing beginning. You know you’re in for some sick stuff.
You bet. How much have you watched already?
I never heard of it before. Queue it on the list…wait, there’s a list?
If I had to vote, I’d vote for Moderator tag to stay.
Opening credits…big boom smashed doll head.
Those dolls are freaky, no wonder no one wants one.
Problem child…oh no there goes the lady in the crowd, “If any child like that acted like that…I always say it’s the parent’s fault”
Oh shut up lady!!
Is that Mae West with Bette Davis in that old film?
Is this old footage from another film?
That would be funny.
What? I thot you started one???

Yeah, I’m torn. On the one hand, it’s helpful to know who the moderators are if you’re new. I know it took me a while to figure out when I first started. On the other hand, it does sort of set us apart, in a very non-GWC “we’re all homies” kind of way.
